Ya know, the confution you're feeling is quite warranted, considering that you've skipped close to every single intel-pickup, mission birefing and most of the dialouge. I have really enjoyed the gameplay, becuase you're genuelly amazing at FPS games, but you cannot complain that a game is lacking that "Glue to hold it all together" while activelly ignoring all the glue the devs put into the game Still though , thank you for playing. Your commentary is solid beyond that one side to it👌

I think what he means by that is more visual presentation to the elements, rather then dedicated lore pickups. While I'm a stickler for good lore, and do it myself, TBH I don't always want to stop every 30-40 seconds to read a lore document that basically says "Shit's fucked, GTFO, What's going on?" If they want to lean into the FEAR elements, then perhaps they should've dragged out the slower paced, atmospheric sections to build the tension.

@@ardynamberglow3124 you know what, that is fair. I would tend to agree that a more tense buildup would have made the game better. In my own experience I played the game much slower than Bricky did, so I felt that the tense buildup sections worked better for me. Both because I had more time to soak it in and because I didn’t have a chat to entertain the whole way through

@@magnusfinneide5259 That's a fair assumption. IMO the devs should've accounted for both types of styles, the slow and methodical and full sprint through the level. Obviously a slower pacing will deliver a more solid set of tension and build up. But I'd still argue that the horror sections should've been slowed down, even for the game's frantic pace. I think if they teased the monsters more and had long sections of the creature hunting you down it would create a better atmosphere then a 1-2 minute running section and then a 3-5 minute shootout with the beast. That way, the people who take a slow pace are freaked out and terrified while those who like to blast through it or might be distracted by Chats can get a good sense of tension and build up and still feel kinda scared.

@@ardynamberglow3124 hopefully team 17 take all this feedback into their next project whenever that will be. Because as a pure sandbox shooter, i don't hink I've had more fun fighting the AI in any other game than this.

God Trepang2 is such a wild ride. Thanks for picking it up and finished it.
