I wonder how pickles muskies taste? Probably the same as northern? We used to go up north to catch northern once a year where there was no size limit and my dad would make a big honking jar of them.

So most people don't look as musky as a eating fish, it's more of a fun thing. And alot of people are super vocal about that. And I can't say I disagree personally but to each their own. I ate a small most likely stocked musky once that my daughter hooked that died in the process of unhooking. Hopefully that's the only one I ever kill. I'd never purposefully kill one to eat. There's plenty of pike or literally anything else that is gonna taste way better than a big old musky that's been down there for 10 plus years

@@thomasmathea2306 I spent a week eating nothing but a boiled northern up in Canada that died on me that was over 40 inches. It's been ten years since I ate a northern. I still have the scar all the way down my finger from when it sliced my finger. I should have gotten stitches for it but it was two hours down the lake in our little ten horsepower boat then two hours down some dirt logging roads to even hit some paved roads so I just wrapped the finger up with a bread bag and ate the northern that my dad had to unhook for me after it died. It was too big legally to keep but I couldn't unhook it with blood spraying out of my finger. So I ate northern instead of tastey walleye for the rest of the week.

@@thomasmathea2306 there are very few fisheries you can keep a musky under 42” and a lot are now 50”. Be careful keeping small fish.

Our lakes that have Muskie will be covered with 100’s of idiots fishing for Muskie with water temps in the mid to upper 80’s. In the next few days there will be dead fish everywhere.
