Fine Dining, Pizza, and Flaming Tiki Drinks: Chef's Night Out with Del Posto

Ойын-сауық

Del Posto's executive chef Melissa Rodriguez takes us out for a night that has a little bit of everything-fine dining, pizza, and flaming tiki drinks. The night starts off at Melissa's old workplace, Daniel, where chef Daniel Boulud pulls out all the stops with a delicious four-course meal. Melissa and friends then venture to Jersey City for pizza before heading back into the city for cocktails at The Rusty Knot. Fortunately, all of the friends Melissa brings out with her are chefs, so the night ends with a spread of different frittatas, making us wish that all of our friends were chefs too.

I used to work in this pretty high end restaurant (top 100 in the country) and when we got our free meal at the end of the night when the chefs couldn’t be fucked making something nice they just made us a shitty frittata with random stuff in it. That’s all I can think about when they make their frittatas at the end lol

Many times those small meals are part of multiple courses, and they are also rich enough that whilst you don't feel *full*, you feel more than satisfied. You are also paying a high premium for the time that's gone into the methods and ingredients, as well as staff time. Can't tell you the amount of times I've had my fill of cheap, big portions and wondered why I paid so much for something I can do at home.
