Proud Murray and MacLennan through my grandparents with a large family tree done with my grandmother (Grace MacLennan Murray) when I was a little girl. The Murrays still live in River John and the MacLennans settled on MacLennans Mountain after being given a land grant. My grandmother took me to the original foundation on the mountain and the original home was dismantled and moved to Stellarton on S. Foord St.mwhen she was a little girl. After being sold after my grandmothers passing it changed hands many times and is not what it used to be. Scott Paper sold one of my great cousins the original plot back on the Mt. I have large pictures and others of my great grandparents etc. My great great had fought with the Black Watch and hence the land grant vs of a pension. In returning my late aunt’s remains to Nova Scotia, I also met with 3 wonderful men in New Glasgow who shared huge amounts of documentation and 2 were actual relatives. Love and proud of my history!!
