Thanks for sharing your video. I reside in Australia. During my last holiday in KL, I visited Choon Prawn Mee House. Had the mixed soup of Loh Mee/Prawn Noodle. My rating was 8/10. Should have tried just the prawn noodle soup instead of the mixed, perhaps next time. Thanks for the tip on the Lok Bak. I like the way you describe the taste, quality and verdict of the prawn noodle soup. Well done!

That dark gravy for lobak, we're so-called as Lor. Just a typical tapiocal flour with egg. There is no spicy taste at all. For typical penang style, we will mix that chilli/sambal with lor.

Sometimes.. does one ever think an unfavourable comment cud affect one's livelihood in trying to eke out a decent living as a hawker ? talking is cheap.. just to remind....esp to those who does not come from family lineage of food peddlers.. i am not one o f them, yet i feel for them, esp so in times of covid...

Hello Ana, thanks for dropping by our channel ☺️! We are glad you pointed this out & We totally agree with what you mentioned & understand the hardship faced by hawkers & also restaurants, especially during these trying times 😯 That said, there is a balance to be made. We believe as a food channel we first owe our honesty to the audiences & at the same time must balance to not cause further hardships to struggling businesses 🤔 So here’s our direction from the very first video... for our home turf which is Kuala Lumpur, we actually visit all the stalls/ restaurants multiple times over a period of time & if that place doesn’t dish out good food we won’t mention or film it. We only film places that has a certain standard in their food, which is clearly reflected in our videos. As for the unfavourable comment, we look at it objectively rather than whether said comment is favourable or otherwise. We always do our best to describe as accurately as possible the flavour tones & texture tones we experience without bias before giving our take on how we see that food 🤗. All these are done from an objective stand point, which stems from our onus to be honest to our audiences 😬. This can be compared to journalism in a way 😉 Hope this clarifies our position & hope you enjoyed this Food Adventure!

Hello there, thanks for dropping by 😉, Wei Loon here! The reason I mentioned SG Prawn Noodles is because Choon has that added sweetness which bears a certain resemblance.
