Finding The Best Defensive Troops in Clash of Clans

From barbarian to super troops and even PEKKA. Today we going to find who's the best defensive troop in Clash of Clans. If NBA has the defensive player award, here in Clash of Clans we also appreciate troops that not only good to destroy any base but also to defend it with all their might. in order to find the best defensive troops, we going to test how they defend a simple looking base from a basic attack consisting of golem as a tanker and wizards to accompany him as a damage dealer in this simple attacker.
We going to use maximum level Clan Castle which means we can have 50 housing space worth of defensive troop and we'll keep the defenses as minimum as possible so the defensive troop or Clan Castle troops can shine and defend the base. Troops that can defend the simple base and avoid a total wipe out will considered to be great defensive troops. It's very simple test but let's see how the troops handle this. Since Clash of Clans troops catalog keep going and we now have more than 40 troops, it's going to be quite a ride, so we'll divide them into corresponding group based on their housing space. Anyway, let's find the greatest defensive troop of all time and enjoy!

a good castle defence i see in competitive wars and my clan donates is Lava with Super minions at TH15
Archers are very good to fill the extra space in the cc!
well electro dragon is not that good on defense cuz of poison spell, and pekka cuz grand warde, but the others are really good defending btw i have an suggestion: Big troops vs high-end defenses

Nah, E-drag is good against shitty spammy armies. If your opponent sucks at positioning your E-Drag can waste the Warden ability quickly

@@Godzi-ki1szIt can take almost any CC troop, that's the point of the spell fella. Also I think I specified against spam armies, even if you take him down he will do at least a good amount of damage to everything

I see the best cc troops are archers - headhunters- witches- ice golmn - super minions might also include goblins. Dragons and lava hounds used to be good but they can be taken out easier and they don't distract troops enough

Lava hounds are still incredible because they can distract a lot and then there's the lava pups too. If the enemy doesn't have poison or electro titan, they're very annoying

Nah use 2 super balloons and 2 super minions the best if ur opponent isn't fast ur queen or troops will be dead
I like to use super ballons because they head fast towards a group of valqueries or the Queen

I use a Dragon, Baby Dragon, Witch and 3 Archers. Pretty persistent and has wide utility.

But Baby D loses it's rage effect when paired with other air units. I'd just slap in 2 Super minions instead.

@@babusseus1105 It still has Splash and a chunky Hp pool. Also, when the Dragon dies the Baby gets the Rage, allowing it to 1v1 a Drag or E Drag.
