A rainy fall day eating around NYC sounds like heaven to me
Wow...I'm a native New Yorker and currently in quarantine. This is the first video that has actually made me feel nostalgic about walking in the city. 😭😅 Great job with the editing and the selection! I'm putting a few of these places on the bucket list for whenever the quarantine lifted. Stay safe and cheers!
I was waiting for you to drop that funfetti cookie the way you were holding it out while you walked around. Glad you hung on!
pls do more videos like this but in different cities!! AHHHHH they are so good to watch & so insightful from and outsider like me!! lots of love from Singapore!! 🥰🥰
Here in Germany many bakeries have an "Amerikaner" which by watching this video is a New York Black and White Cookie I had never heard of them until I came to Germany and saw them.
You must have been reeling after all that!! Sheesh. I liked how you were just walking around with a funfetti cookie in front of you! 😂
‘I don’t know what I’m saying, but I’m saying something.’ That’s something Michael Scott could have said lol

I’m a coffee addict and I seriously don’t remember having a coffee that day...it was the sugar, not the caffeine that kept me going.

I was thinking the exact same thing I cannot eat any sweet baked goods without coffee I find it impossibleI’m amazed he could soldier through all of those sweets without any coffee : )

@@ajl8198 I developed a sugar coma just watching Jamie consume all those sweets.
They use the old 70’s recipe for banana pudding using the Nabisco Vanilla Wafers.
What a fantastic video, my guy. What’s good?!
Great Vlog 💜
I’m loving your tours ……such a nice change but good fun ….I would love the donut …cakey L.A 🇨🇦
LOL, those black and white cookies are called "Amerikaner" in Germany.
!Loved how you stopped for a donut break !

quick lil stop...hey you know when you're busy....
Cool...thanks for eating all those sweets!
Seinfeld references. Nice. Worth a thumbs up.
Ooh! I’m early! 🙋♀️ I had a chocolate birthday cake from Milk Bar soo good but a bit crumbly and salty. The crack pie is the best! The last time I sat on the stairs to nowhere there was a flash mob of about 100 naked people on bicycles 😂😂😂 I love NY

I agree with you on the milk bar observations. The crack pie and compost cookie are so damn tasty, the cake wasn’t nearly as impressive. It was too cold for naked bikers!
Magnolia is so good. If you go around 5 on a weekday there’s barely a line
Great video. 👍
bookmarking for if i ever get to NY
Impressed that there was no queue in Levain! Hahahah
Loved the video - so jealous of all the amazing food but mostly getting to Milkbar! Was the food as good as your homemade versions - how did it all compare?

So the cookie and crack pie were far better than my attempts, but I most definitely prefer my cakes to the one I tried

ANTI-CHEF I’ve heard that from people who go that they prefer their own stuff because obviously it’s far fresher

The good ol days!! 🦶
A lot of sweets!!!!!!!!!! How did you handle it at the end of the day?
Dude, I didn’t know you have such a sweet tooth!! The amount of baked goods you consumed one day and evening is impressive. I also want to try Magnolia cupcakes and Milk Bar…I don’t know. Maybe birthday cake so I can compare mine with the actually Tosi recipe. I think I read in Tosi’s recipe book (bought it when it dropped) that it took her 7 years(?) to develop & perfect the birthday cake. The pie loooks way too sweet…so I would get a couple of cookies I think. Great vid Jamie.
Very good
Beautiful video. really enjoyed. It is a great pleasure to find your video. York City is my favorite city. one day I will be visit here. inshallah

Hey Scott! Been trying to make this one for some time but to get the ingredients I need over here in a Belgium, it’s gonna cost me 40 bucks in shipping, plus the inflated import fees...that’s for a box of .99 cent Banana Pudding and some very specific wafer cookies! I want to do this one right, so I’m gonna hold off until I’m outside of Belgium and can pick this stuff up for a reasonable price!
Don’t want to be there when you slump from the sugar rush 😂😂
How was the famous crack pie? I wish you had discussed the food more.
I'm disappointed you didn't go to Laduree considering how many times you tried to make the macarons.
I live literally next to milk bar
My teeth hurt!!! I want that Key Lime Cookie!!!!

This guy is gorgeous
in New York normal shit is just 5x more expensive GG
I just came back from nyc flagship milk bar and I have to say how surprised I was at how much I hated it. Everything was SUPER sweet like nauseating so. It was worse than e eating a spoonful of sugar. And everything was so heavy. Like thick and tense like there was too much butter. To be clear, I tried 2 Cookies, the strawberry short cake, 4 different cake balls, and the ice cream. I thought I had to like one thing. But no. I was so disgusted and nauseated after the experience. My bf and I shared a small ice cream cup and over half went to the trash. He felt so sick after eating it. It was just an over all disappointing experience. I was so excited too. This is sadly just overhyped and over sweetened . Not worth it at all. 😢

from the outset milk bar was a junk food joke, not a real bakery
?
I am worried that your black-and-white cookie tasted like poppyseeds because of all those bagels flying around maybe some accidentally got into the cookie? I really enjoyed this thank you
I think they all look great but if the best an great bakery can do is cookies, cheesecake and pudding; well it's a bit underwhelming. Pretty sure if you go to some of the best French bakeries; you're not going to get predominately cookies as their best item.
Sugar sensory overload!!
When I visit New York my in-laws are all up in arms saying "This place is SO good, that place is so fabulous!" I go there, try it, and then want to go home because every time so far the food hasn't been anywhere as good as home. Food there is bland. Even the baking confections. I've made better cookies in my own kitchen. My husband who lived there until he was 28 agrees with me. Food in New York is bland. He likes it here at home better.
What's a Canadian doing all over the world? How is this done? Is your wife a spy? Who is your camera person?
sad these are all such bleh, industrial sugar bomb "bakeries"
For heaven sake eat some real food before you OD on sugar!
