Patrick, I'm not sure that you hear this enough; you're an insanely talented interviewer! You know exactly when to let the interviewee just keep talking and when to interrupt to keep everything on track. Also, you're great at active listening which gives you the ability to pivot when the person gives you something great for you to get exclusive content. Bravo!

Oh Cicero I appreciate you so much! This is definitely not something he hears enough outside of me and I totally agree. Being right there all the time, I'm am constantly aware of how great he is at this conversational multitasking! I find it so easy to lose track when you're trying to think of what you're going to say next...or being a completely engaged listener and not being ready with a beneficial contribution when it's your turn. He is SO good at this stuff and he's just getting better and better! Thank you for seeing and calling out his talent! Long distance big 'ole hug! - Liv

Thanks Lori ⚡❤️ ya it's so important to get chargers in the ground but to keep them reliable, they need a good maintenance and service strategy. Good to hear they're gearing up for this growth! - Liv

Agree that DCFC charging gets far more of the conversation than is appropriate given the actual % of electrons delivered to EVs via that method. As someone who owns 2 EVs and a home with 2 lvl 2 EVSE units installed, what Blink is doing filling in the public infrastructure doesn't have a lot of impact on us personally, but is very important for general EV adoption going forward.

Too bad you couldn't have gone out with one of these guys and tried to charge at a few of their chargers. We have Blink RFID cards for our cars and could not charge without calling support in Winters, CA. On a new Tritium (not Blink) charger - vertical integration? Their newer L2s seem much better than the old ones in that same town. Public AC charging advocates in CA run into the reality that parking spaces are often the scarce resource and you need 20X or so of them to deliver the same kWh as DC. And then there is that pesky Stanford study concluding that workplace (Blink good there) and public DC during day is best in the West to soak up the surplus solar power.

I just can't understand why these big companies can't afford to put people in repair vans all over the country that do nothing but go to chargers every day and fix them. A small cost to make them better! The the guy said it....Expense reduction!

Blink is such a disaster in the public charging realm. Maybe it would be better for it to focus on fleets. You can read their repeated “we will repair soon” comments for stations that have been broken for months or years. If I see Blink I stay far away because the experience is almost guaranteed to be a disappointment.

L2 that is not your home has to be 19.2 or 11.4 kw, lots of vehicles with larger batteries. I see this at my work place. WE have a bunch of 6kw L2 and the Rivians and other big battery vehicles hog the chargers for the Bolt's (50kw), so 6kw is no longer good enough for public or shared charging at offices, for over night it works, not for a few hours a day at work. This is especially true when you have a limited number of L2 EVSE.

These guys are really jazzed. They have what everybody needs. It's slowly dawning on America, that we need (reliable) EV charging everywhere. This is the moment these guys have been waiting for. Let's hope they are up to the task.

@@ultrastoat3298 There are plenty of Tesla owners who don't have home charging. And there will be a lot more. For all of these people, more level 2 chargers around town will be a welcome development. And, just wait until annual EV sales are eight times higher than in 2023, and all those cars are lined up at Superchargers. No man is an island. We are all connected.
