You're doing better than I would at not losing your minds working on this thing, glad to see you're both in high spirits. I've got limited mechanical experience as well, definitely more so, and the last time I tried simply fitting a full exhaust system to my old clio sport it was giving me grief and I could've quite easily gone on complete psychotic murderous rampage in the local village.

Majority of us know your not professionals but your willing to give it a go and learn which is the sentiment a lot of us appreciate. Lost count of the amount of obvious mistakes I’ve made working on my own vehicles but those mistakes are the best learning experience.

Best service station is Extra on M1 near Leeds. Stunning wave design exterior, circular interior layout with the likes of Burger King, WHSmiths, Nando’s and all with their own communal seating indoors & outdoors. Superb gaff.

Favourite service station is definitely Gloucester services farm shop with a dog walk we use on the way to Cornwall everytime.

Good diagnoses. That's wild to think they used some nonferrous alloy for the cylinders. Very unlikely it's stuck rings then. I vaguely rem reading bout them long ago but yah Not good. They at least always come out faster than dropping in, takes 30mins for my one car but it has a motorplate.

Keep the engine and rebuild it on he side, you will learn a lot if you do that and you will have a spare engine

Same happened with my m44b19 Looked like someone was smoking cigars in there when opened oil cap. Rebuild engine with high compression pistons.

Did anyone notice the bottom of the oil filter when the engine started to get pulled out? Could have possibly been the wrong oil filter. You can see how it had being pushed on by a prong could have being positioned incorrectly? Could have cause some low oil pressure issues also?? Make sure you lads have the right oil filter with the new engine!

It’s definitely got to be moto services in rugby, that place is a field trip 😂
