Voiceover in post is MUCH better than being chatty to the camera in the cockpit. I think S1K is a very, very bad example in that regard. Be better than him.

I fly out of KSMO and will be sorry not to see you guys in there anymore. Phenoms are among the few jet types still flying in after the runway shortening, plus smaller straight wing Citations. And so far Harrison Ford is keeping the faith, still operating his Citation Sovereign out of there, along with his Husky, Beaver and helo. Nice work on the editing and the video quality, and thanks for keeping in lots of details for us pilots.

Yes Rocky that is correct. This mode will make the flight director maintain a constant indicated airspeed or mach depending on the altitude. It is very similar to S1K's "IAS" mode on his TBM.

After all that technical chat about lines on the runway and spacing between lights, none of which proved true, they held a finger to the wind and took off. But...who cares. Doesn't really matter. What would be smarter is to know that the runway is clear all the way. Just in case someone parked on it last night, or left a banana peel on it. Clearly no one had landed on it anytime soon. Where there any previous takeoffs? If this was the first under this weather maybe someone should have buzzed the runway in a golf cart.

I would LOVE to learn how to fly one of these Jets but there's only one HUGE ISSUE I would have with it. That would be all that talking and squacking from the Towers. That wouldn't work for me as I find it extremely boring and annoying as Hell. I would just shut off the headphones and Mike so I wouldn't have to listen to that.
