interestingly enough, when they did Finding Nemo, the animators at Pixar had to use dogs as references for the fish characters' facial expressions, since fish irl don't have facial muscles.

Fun fact about clownfishes. The clownfishes actually battle to mate, and only 2 will actually end up mating The 1st place (male) will actually transition into female And the 2nd place (male) will stay male to impregnate the now (ex) male which was on the 1st place 😂

@@lollllolll.while you’re not right, you’re not entirely wrong either. They don’t battle. There’s a female and a dominate male in a school of clownfish. When the female dies, the dominate male becomes female and the 2nd up on the hierarchy becomes the new dominant male. So in the case of finding Nemo, marlin should have become the new female and Nemo would’ve been the dominate male.

The fact that I genuinely believed this was legit for a solid 8 seconds is unbelievable.

Fun Fact: Barracuda generally don't have Clown Fish on the menu. It also likely couldn't have fit in the small cove that the eggs were in. But clown fish can, and do eat their young and their eggs. So, what's more likely. A barracuda showed up, ate the eggs and mate, or mate ate the eggs and left?

Clown fish also lay their eggs among the tentacles of sea anemones that are poisonous to most other animals. The barracuda shouldn’t have been able to reach them.

I like how the fish animation is actually good compared to The Little Mermaid "live action" Edit: (I had no idea shitting on a Disney remakes stiff animation could get that political.)

But Rob Marshall the director himself SAID there was no agenda when casting Halle, it’s called colorblind casting meaning that because Ariel’s race was never important to the story they auditioned people of all races to play her to find the BEST person for the role. Halle was the first to audition and knocked it out of the park. Rob Marshall said that she set the bar so high that no one who auditioned after her was able to surpass it. Meaning that she got the part BECAUSE she just was the BEST person for the job! She looks like Ariel aside from skin tone, she SOUNDS like Ariel with her powerful siren like voice, and she has a ethereal siren like essence to go with her voice. No one could have played the part as well as she did, and she wasn’t casted for the sake of forced diversity and “wokeness”

I love how disney spent nearly a century convincing the world that hand drawn animation was an artform to be enjoyed by all and not just a silly gimmick for children. Only for them to about face the last 10 years by abandoning it in favor of converting all of their masterpieces into live action ripoffs.

As a longtime fan of Finding Nemo, I can’t say I would put it past Marlin to do something like this

From the beginning I was like, well this is just gonna be another cheap remake, but when he said “it’s gonna have to look like an accident” it got so much better

Can’t wait for them to reveal the barracuda’s sad backstory where clownfish somehow killed their parents

Honestly, this is the perfect encapsulation of a Disney LA remake: soulless, cgi that makes the fish look very uncanny and creepy, and a completely rewriting character moments that make them worse than the original! I mean this as a compliment btw, it was a very good video!

The audio really gives me that theater vibe as though I was watching a very short leaked trailer that PIXAR themselves wouldn't want to release to the public in fear kids younger than 13 would be terrified to view because of how graphic the plotline appears! 😆 I really find Merlin's voice quite fitting that's quite similar to Patrick Warburton's whom voice-acted Kronk from The Emperor's New Groove and can did why Merlin didn't want to take care of all his children with his wife whom I don't recall hearing her name growing up from the film lol. Mon. Dec. 18. 2023 @ 2:50am. (8 nights after I became 35 months clean and sluggishly healing mentally after Cartoonshi cyberbullied me since June). 💝
