Hey Joel! What an incredible place! So lovely to see the incredible wildlife that abounds there. The potoo bird reminded me of a tree moth with its camouflage, beautiful! My son also had a mishap with escaping stick insects! Had to be careful with the hoover for a few days! Great video, a real joy to see such an amazing place. Best wishes.

🤣🤣at the careful hoovering! Yes, tree moth, absolutely that. It really is wonderful, off to Egypt in a few weeks, going to an island that is a haven for birds and other wildlife, will be sharing it all with you when I'm back. No wildlife pond this time, I think the Nile sufficient, but who knows if I can persuade the hotel manager! 👀 So glad you're enjoying this - best wishes to you and yours, Joel

I love Anubias in my aquariums as I got no pond , I superglue them in place ion bits of wood and they grow , that’s all I know about plants . I have a tiny garden out front but no pond 🥲that’s seven foot by seven foot That has heebies and hot lips in . Love your shows and you have the best beard ever 👍

I've learned something today! I hadn't heard of the Anubias species, but now I know :) Re the front garden, a lot of birds and amphibians would appreciate a barrel or container pond - not sure if you have seen the video but here is a link: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qpytt7lqoJe4lNo.html One of my first ever videos, so I hope I've improved somewhat since, but they're really easy to install. Really appreciate your kind words and rating of the beard! Very best wishes, Joel

@@WildYourGardenWithJoelAshton I have seen your barrel vid of course I have lol im addicted to ponds since I was a kid but I live in block of flats with tiny communal garden I can’t have a pond or barrel I asked as I rent . I would if I could. Yes Anubias are good aquatic plants in aquariums but I’m not very good at growing them my leaves are always turning yellow but you need to get good aquariums lights and all water chemistry right and it’s tricky. But I do try to learn . I just getting a new aquarium on Saturday a four foot one so it makes up for not having a pond. My mates think I’m mad I have four aquariums in my flat but it’s my hobby I love it. All the best for the channel your the best 👍

@@WildYourGardenWithJoelAshton Anubias might be good for your barrrels as they don’t need lot of light you can glue in place don’t need substrate and are slow growing and you can get nano ones 👍

@@WildYourGardenWithJoelAshton hey Joel I befriended all the crows That live on the gardens outside parliament as I live near I walk down each day and they all know me now and swoop in and I give out monkey nuts . The thing is they are so clever I didn’t go for a week as I got flu and a week later they still recognised me and soon as I sat on a bench they call each other in and come to me . So even with the thousands of tourists that must pass by . They recognised and singled me out . Incredible memories
Really enjoyed the boat trip, loved seeing the Blue Morpho in its natural habitat. Have seen one in a heated butterfly house in the uk, amazing creatures. What memories too. Regards Keith

Yes, me too, have only seen species like this in a butterfly house before, to see them in real life was pretty breathtaking as you can imagine. I know! Still so surprised that Alvarro was able to spot this bird, but being familiar with the canal probably helps. Still can't believe I got to see one. Best wishes, Joel
As a matter of interest, did you source a southern Blue Eye. Or the Northern ones, which are most common in the trade. As I have found in Sydney that the northern ones don’t breed as well in the Sydney climate? Thanks
Surprised no snakes
