Hello my friend 👋. This week's painting is an example of how beautiful a piece can be with minimal color and marks! No matter what you paint, it's always so lovely! I am inspired by flowers and by colors. Honestly I usually just pick paints and colors I want to use, and just wing it from there! I never have a plan! 😂 I was concerned when you said you were going to a rheumatologist. Do they think that you have rheumatoid arthritis?! I pray that that is not the case! 🙏 I know that can be a very painful and challenging disease. I'm glad you are so in tune with your body, that you know when to be extra kind to yourself. I am sending gentle hugs! 🤗 On another note, how is poor Garou?! He sure had an eventful birthday! Has he healed up? You must have been a very worried mommy! My husband and daughter left today on their vacation, so Lexi 🐶 and I have the place to ourselves! It's very odd and quiet, but I will make the best of it! 😉 😂 Have a blessed week my friend. Hello sweet friend ❤️🤗 As always, I appreciate your kind words so much! I love that we are very similar in how we approach painting - no plan and winging it! That's totally up my alley 😂 Yes, I was/am concerned too... But, there is nothing definitive yet. I guess one of my blood work results was concerning and they mentioned the possibility of Lupus 😳 I wish they had just not mentioned any possibilities, but of course, I would have done my own research and ended up finding out the possibilities any way. I'm still waiting to hear back from the specialists office for an appointment so I am really not letting myself get carried away with worry (which can at times be easy for me to do - worry that is). So, I'm focusing on the fact that for now, there is nothing definitive and I am focusing on all the things I can do to take care of myself (eating well, exercising, getting enough sleep, mindfulness, creating, getting plenty of fresh air, etc.). And honestly, with all of that, I actually do feel better most days. ✨💕🙏🏿 I'm on the right track, I think. ☺️ Thank you for your love and compassion ❤️ Garou recovered from his encounter fairly quickly, thankfully! 💕 He took his last antibiotics a couple of days ago and he is being supervised on leash when we go out at dusk and dawn. Yes, it is always so scary when our fur babies aren't well, isn't it! 😔 I'm so thankful for vets!! I hope the porcupine recovered quickly too and mostly, I hope for him it was more a scare than anything else. ( I believe it might have been the same little guy I saw strolling through our yard again just a couple of days ago, so thankfully he seems fine 💕🙏🏿) Happy staycation my friend!!! 😁 Have fun doing (or not doing) everything you want to do!! There can be magic in the quiet - I'm literally smiling just thinking about how magical this time can be for you. ✨💕🎨 Big big hugs heading your way! Wishing you a blessed week too 🤗💕

It's wonderful to watch how your paintings morph...just when I think what you have done is great, you add a little more and it transforms the painting. My self-critic blocks me often but then I go and watch something of yours and it gives me motivation to be a little bolder and braver, and often it does the trick of taking something from blah to 'TA-DA'!! My inspiration is similar to yours. I remember a few years ago I was in a deep depression and one day a noticed a wild flower in a hedgerow, suddenly remembering its name-red campian, this was the start of my recovery, ever since nature has been my inspiration for everything. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Your videos have been so encouraging to me. I have spent a couple years searching for a new medium that would bring back the passion for creating. I was a torchwork glass artist before being diagnosed with a progressive lung disease. Giving that up was painful but I needed to find a new medium that didn't involve so many things that could be breathed in. I love color and am drawn to abstract rather than representational art, but wasn't finding anything that created a spark in me. Your calm and patient creative process and encouragement to take the time to pay attention to my intuition has been very healing. I started copying you and am now beginning to find my own voice. I remember that journey from when I started working at the torch and was scared that I couldn't do it again. I've watched a lot of videos and your voice speaks loudest to me. It gives me hope that I can find joy and passion in a new medium. So...thank you, thank you, thank you!

Spending time in nature with my rescue dog Riley inspires me. We are surrounded by beautiful rolling hills and vineyards with an abundance of amazing ancient oak trees. I am blessed to live in the town of Sonoma, Ca where many of my neighbors are also artists. Our small town has a beautiful art museum and a significant number of art galleries. When I am truly stuck and being outdoors doesn't do the trick, I will often treat myself to a cup of coffee and people watch in the town plaza. I usually take a walk around town afterwards and just seeing the work of others helps to inspire me. I am a full-time artist and also a full-time caregiver for my 90 year old mother who has dementia and mobility issues. I have learned the lesson (the hard way!!!) that if I do not take care of myself and my own mental health my ability to create and desire to create suffers. I too am a lover of Japanese culture and circles - I am obsessed with Enso - and know that shared love attracted me to your channel. Thank you for the inspiration! 💌

I love this painting..so calm, understated and beautiful. I watched it last night and am still thinking about it this morning. You have introduced me to the dotting tool…that seems like a very handy piece of equipment that has lovely results. My father learned Japanese after he retired and visited pen friends there many times. He loved the culture for its elegance and simplicity. This painting captures that essence so well, it is gorgeous! I grew up in Cornwall and spent all the time I could at the beach, I enjoy surfing and diving and just looking at the sea…it relaxes me and makes me happy. I also love astronomy and starry skies fill me with calmness and wonder. So when I need some inspiration I often start with water or nebulae and night skies. Thank you for sharing your thoughts as you paint. I do love how your creations evolve through the painting process and how you listen to your intuition. My conversations with myself need to be more positive I think! Have a beautiful week 💫💙 Bx

In my personal time, I study other languages too - it's such a beautiful way to connect and learn about other cultures. ❤️ I also love how you describe Cornwall - we seem to have grown up in similar ways - no wonder I connect with you so much!! We are mermaid sisters, or so it seems 🧜‍♀️🥰 The ocean, the sky, nature - they all remind me that everything is ok and all I need to do is shut down the noise (from social media and the news) to see that it is. @@gabrielleannacormierart I am on Duolingo too, learning French, German and Spanish mostly …with a little Italian and Esperanto…. with Duolingo it is easy to play with others too! I signed up for a French course with Fred from the KZread channel ‚Français with Fred‘ and I did a German course with Anja from ‚Learn German with Anja“. I watch films and read children‘s books and I have a German pen friend. It is all fun, I will never be fluent but I love learning about other countries and cultures along the way! I know that you speak French, what other language/s are you learning? 💫💙

I started learning Portuguese two years ago and now I'm reading books and watching shows to keep up this practice. When we decided to go to Norway last year, I started learning Norwegian and I am starting to read and watch in that language too. I'm not finding it as easy as Portuguese, but I'm enjoying it nonetheless. 💕 It's so fascinating to me how much we can learn about a culture just by studying it's language! We have been watching a lot of Japanese content so I started to learn some Japanese on Duolingo too, but that is a much slower process 😂 My profile on Duo is under Gabby @GabrielleCormier.
