Now I remember my father had a great mechanical watch too and it got so old andi never thought of restoring it through professional and ending up throwing it away. Feeling sad now as my dad passed away and could have been a great memory piece

@@physics77guy ultimately those Memories that You can't Help but post a Huge smile on Your Face every time You think of them are the best "Gifts" for Me, I keep some trinkets For that exact reason, sorry to hear about the watch though, it would have been cool to have had restored, but such is life, at least You have Your Memories, everything else can be taken, and by the time Memory starts to Fail us?... Well ... Other things will fill our minds... 😂 How about trying to find one the same... Or similar, and try to keep it as long as possible, build up the same "love" He had for it.. may not be the SAME watch but You can still build a good relationship with it.

Great job as always! For many years I have fancied tinkering with watches but, where do you start and so many screws and parts, how to remember where they all fit😱…so I think I’ll just continue to watch an expert such as you and enjoy the repairs and restorations stress free😎👍…thanks for posting.

Joe, another great video. Scanned through the comments and so many of us have similar situations/motivations. I found your channel way back when looking at my late father's Bulova. It's a late 50s/early 60s model and hasn't worked since the late 70s. I know I could never repair it myself but was interested in seeing what was involved, and after a couple of videos, I worry about bringing it to a place that can actually get it back in working order. That was around 3 years ago. Boy has your channel grown. Closing in on 300K. Congratulations! It's easy to see from the comments why this is, but just let me add that I also like the background you give about the history of the watch or company. Your relaxed and positive attitude defintely are a soothing balm to people's rough days. Keep it up, Joe.

That is a beauty of a watch now. Repaired and polished up just nicely so that it doesn't lose of the aged appeal it has. Detail on the movement is always amazing for something that old. Greetings from the land down-under.

I just wanted to take a moment to say how amazing your video was! I was really impressed with the quality of the footage, the editing, and the overall presentation. You did a great job of explaining the topic in a clear and concise way, and I learned a lot from watching your video. I also really appreciated the way you made the video engaging and entertaining. You kept my attention throughout the entire video, and I never felt bored or lost. I would definitely recommend your video to anyone who is interested in learning more about the video. Thanks again for making such a great video! I look forward to watching more of your content in the future. PS: I outsourced this feedback to AI.

Being (for the first 25 yrs of my life…) a hobbyist and collector, this channel and its delivery is wonderful!!! Your demeanor and humor is marvelous! Thank you! Your knowledge and skill is great! At 40 I went back to school Paris Junior College TIJT Horology and filled in all the blank spaces in my knowledge of watches and to become a Certified Horologist. My teacher Frank Poy was awesome and like you had a very excellent way of conveying all of the information needed to do all of the delicate work this hobby and profession requires. I have enjoyed every time piece you’ve worked on and look forward to the next! Please be well and I hope Trouble…😅 finds the same passion you have acquired! And I will see you in the next one!

I love the 70s rotary watches. I inherited a couple and never paid them much attention until I got into 'tinkering', now I have a few. For the most part their all AS movements.
