You preach a true lesson of life. We Must be prepared to fail as we move forward in all endeavors. Without brave hearts, we are doomed to normalcy.
Good morning Gary.
Good morning Gary😊 Hi Jeff👋 Real nice area out there. Congrats on the .68 g nugget! I guess I know what you mean by fail, especially metal detecting. It's so funny how you can be in one area, not want to give up that area and then so much time has been lost in an area that yielded one or two items but then the time is gone. Move on🤙 The adventure is always an enjoyable experience💯 Thank you two toes, learning as I go😊🌟

Good Luck I like your area I've prospecting around there a few times !!!!
Hello Gary!! I'm finally on winter break! I have a few more small projects to complete then I can finally get up into the mountains and get more materials. Hopefully God will bless me this year!🙏 I hunt gold not to be rich rather to feel the experience of finding the beginning of time!! My dream is to live off grid and to be a miner full time. I have 85% of all equipment needed to get started. I have tried finding a partner but no one is interested. 4 years ago I asked my friend Brett to go gold panning with me. He said> will we find anything? I said I don't know but according to my research there should be gold in this spot. He replied > well bro I can't go if I'm not go make anything. So, I went alone and found 30 grams. I planned on a 50/50 split. When I sent him a pic of what I found he was so mad.. I said, I tried to tell ya bud! Great Video and I look forward to your next one!
Great vid Gary always enjoy watching!🤙🏾🇺🇸
Interesting old digging tool. Nice nugget of course too.

Anytime you are out doing what you love to do is not a fail! Especially where you are, that aside you are correct. I haven't prospected in a while, for gold that is but I have been rockhounding! Prospecting none the less. I'm out and that is what counts to me. Your videos are always enjoyable especially when you're picking on Jeff, we all love Jeff. Always awesome to watch, regardless of there being gold or not. You're the reason I started detecting, and rekindled my love for panning. I cant wait to try my hand at sniping this year.Thank you for the inspiration.
I needed your episode Gary , really enjoyed it. It was a really tough week for me , my father of 86 passed away a few days ago, broke my heart. Thanks for the uplift and great lesson. I always enjoy watching you and Jeff.

that trowel looks a lot like the one i made in the 80's in shop class. the design was from a text book from the 50's or 60's. but it is a basic design and probably is a lot older. great vid and thanks!
Always Good Advice from Gary on many levels… I spend a lot of time following USGS maps I find interesting areas and put those coordinates into my GPS and head off to those areas and yes~many of those trips you return with riches other than Au= Broader Knowledge! But overall all of that helps understanding the big picture on what’s happening below the surface and understanding what makes certain areas very unique! Once you understand All of that info it helps greatly in discovering & targeting new productive Au areas (mostly hydrothermal..) Well It appears like the snow has brought the gold adventures down to the lower elevations once again. It’s all good. Because there are some really great hidden areas down there below the snow line for AU as well!

Cool 😎
Hey Gary Love these Videos. I too have dug all over Northern California for the past 30 years and have never come across a digging tool like the one you found. Very Cool Read a comment below whats this about a 68 gram nugget. Wheres the Video.Would love some details.
A little elbow grease I'm not old Chevrolet buff right out and be good news. 😉
Gary, are the rock piles a "stacked pile" from working another area or are they from something else? Trying to learn as I always do from your great videos!!
@TwoToes
Жыл бұрын
I think they are rocks that were moved and piled up to get to the richer gravel on the bedrock, also they would fork rocks out of the sluice box and toss them on the pile.
All that melted copper is intriguing maybe they were practicing Alchemy or could be melted Indian head penny's from forest fires.
This is a *guess-timation* if we were all fortunate to get on the gold and find 2 gm Au/day and we could get ~$1600/ounce then we'd need around 60 days to pay for a detector.
How much is lead worth?
@TwoToes
Жыл бұрын
Don't know, but I melt it down and make fishing weights for when I go to the ocean.
@magicone9327

Not much, a car battery brings around 8-10 dollars for the lead in it.
