Glad you enjoyed it :)
I don’t usually leave youtube comments, but your channel deserves the help of the algorithm! I’m glad that I found it. Very smart thought process explained clear and in an intelligent way. Personally I would like a video (as I am in the beginning of learning more deeply the game) about range construction and interactive memorisation. Thank you for the free rich content and keep it up! :)

Will do, I have another 200nl live play and explain highly exploitative video coming out soon. I will probably do another crazy hand in depth analysis and breakdown after that since it has been so well received
Wow. that hand.. just wow. Mind blown! 🤪🤩

thank you! I just posted a new episode from this video format if you enjoyed this :)
While I dont think the bluffing situation happens too often especially at lower stakes the main idea of the video is really good. Would love to see more zoom 200 vidoes :D

Yes, this is a pretty crazy hand and they don't happen everyday. It's more about giving you guys some tools so you're prepared to how to handle these types of unorthodox situations rather then focusing on the specific hand itself. Noted on the 200 videos :)
Excellent video. This idea of deciding whether to over/under bluff/call based on how the villain is naturally building his range is what seems to me to be a very strong approach. Several other very strong players talk about this just like you do. Congratulations on that. However, as a beginner, I find it difficult to do this process without over/under estimating certain parts of villain's range in my head and and make various assumptions that I have no right to make. What I mean is that this process seems to me to require a lot of previous experience and knowledge; and since feedback in poker is so long and time consuming, it's easy for an inexperienced player to figure he's making great/bad plays based on how he's been running the last 50k hands or so. I said all this to ask you: for beginners, do you find more powerful an approach that seeks to explore average player behavior using MDA; or do you think it's better for the player to start to give more room to his intuition and trying to make that reasoning that you did on the video (despite the points I mentioned above)? Thank you again, man.

I would try to incorporate both mda and your own reads and ideas. I personally have never seen an mda chart but I have played millions of hands and use that as my database. As a new player I think if you can get reliable information that pool overfolds or under bluffs certain lines etc from an MDA format, that sounds like a good thing to incorporate into your game. So yes I think using MDA to study can help you but I would suggest not turning off your brain and just using those charts. You should still get into the habit of finding your own creativity in your game and figuring out where your ranges should be dynamic and not follow any chart as law. hope that helps :)

Hi, in the last video you said that you should spend some time developing your exploitative mindset and exploitative strats. How do you study explo strats? Do you just use your years of experience or do you do any sort of MDA work?
@playitsmartpoker
Жыл бұрын
Hi, personally I develop my own explo strats using trial and error. Watching other players play and trying to think about their play is another great way to learn explo style. Some key questions to ask yourself when thinking about explo - What is my opponent trying to accomplish with his sizing or line? What strategy should I employ to counter that? What are the variables that change this equation? You also need to have a good balance of ego and humility, too much ego and you will never accept your play is bad and you need to adjust, too much humility and you will never feel confident actively seeking out spots to exploit your opponent. Its a never ending battle my friend :)
J8 is within the range of many Chinese speaking entertainment players, as its Chinese pronunciation means male genitalia. I believe you have encountered many incredible J8 during the game process
Why we think V has close to 0 strong value here otf? Because he folds most 6x pre or since we think he is most likely trapping?
I like you! Greetings from Sweden

Do you have any gg chart? Are you able to win prerake?
@playitsmartpoker

Yes I win pre rake
I play this hand 90% as you played, the difference between me and you It's that I 100% shove turn. Prob with your smallish bet line you can get some value with super madness play like this one, but the shove make a ton of pressure of the range of smalls pps.

If you have played more than 1.5M hands on zoom pools, why don’t you have many players tagged as regs?

I dont understand when you say something like: (min 3:05) "doesn't mater what size you use, the important is to use the bet sizing on the range correctly" And you say something similar on the first video of your youtube channel.
@playitsmartpoker
Жыл бұрын
its more important to bet the correct range for a theoretically incorrect size then to bet the correct theoretical size with a poorly constructed range
ahh, so this is why Robbi called with j4o! She was exploiting Garrett all while making everyone think otherwise like a true exploitative poker savant . Thanks buddy GL with the channel.

@@playitsmartpoker can u show your GG results? :)
Your logic is correct but applying that logic to a fish who you've never played with before isn't good. Some fish absolutely are going to have random 6x, 33, random Ax here or even better Kx which will truly be hilarious.

I like GG in the sense of the software is excellent, lots of games, players etc. I think in 2023 if you're taking poker seriously you should be site hoping and finding the best action or if you want to be one of the best players then just battle regs and learn to hold your own vs them.
Nice hand, but you should cut your intro way down. It takes a good 2 minutes to get going, and people have a short attention span.
