I'm still confused by the commissary concept as it applies to carts. If you want to do a hot dog cart what exactly is meant by "prep?" Does that mean you can't have the hot dogs in water in the cart? Or is it just that you need to fill with water at the commissary? etc. This is a question for Florida! :)

Hello Ben. Great info. I bought my first yellow lemon squeezer hand. I make most stuff from scratch for my boys. That I can. Anyways, my youngest is why I started making lemonade, shakers. According to fair names. I have a bar tender background. So, that's my reason of looking into Lemonade and cart life. Now, I am going to make my first lemons squares this weekend. I want to become the lemon. Now, my left arm is toast, from a accident. That's why I'm trying to do things lighter. I can't carry stuff, heavy. Thanks for the info.

Mobile alabama you have to keep your carr inside at your commissary. Not at your house at the commissary

Howdy! Your cart is NOT your equipment (as the state code says). Your cart is holding the cooking equipment, so pans, lids, tongs, etc... go inside commissary. If your cart was 34 foot long, does it go in commissary? What if your cart rides on the back of a semi trailer, does it all now go in the commissary? Learnhotdogs.com/liar (for how to overcome this)

I'm looking into this in California. Apparently, they require you to store your truck or cart at the commissary. Why is that?

Thank you very very helpful I love your videos its sorta making me shift my focus from wholesale drink distribution my current business, too making my own hot dog cart business. The one thing I am having a tough time at is believing my numbers the potential especially in fort Lauderdale where I live seems too lucrative, is there a ratio to the % of foot traffic that will buy a hot dog for example 1% of people who walk past my cart will buy a hot dog? Right now I think my volume estimates may be too high....I wanna estimate what I can expect for sales in this business. Thank you very much I love your videos. Idea for a new video , Mobile ATMS attaching this service at big events has huge potential , or how about selling Jamaican style beef patties cheap high margin n all you needs a patty warmer this Idea has been popular in nyc N I love that their is no prep just throw the patties in the warmer :)

The only real way to know is to test locations. Otherwise it's just a "guess". I've seen high traffic do crappy and low traffic do great. :)
