Cant recommend investing in Canada. Unproductive, inefficient and poorly managed in public and private sectors.

No one will invest in a country with an endless falling dollar. The Bank of Canada can't endlessly try to artificially prop up the value of the Canadian dollar.

Over taxed , over regulated , under housed, failing healthcare, aging failing infrastructure, rampant car theft, ridiculous bail laws. What could go wrong?

The incompetence and corruption that runs through this administration are getting more ridiculous. I feel for people with disabilities not getting the help they deserve. Thank you Leah Foster Alderman, imagine investing $1.5k and receiving $6.5k in 4 days.

I have an idea to solve the problem, let’s just add 1million more people next year, and the year after, and after. That will surely bring down relative cost of grocery/housing/utilities/services

avg retirement age right now ... of boomers mainly is/was 59 (fact) .. late boomers and next gen will be 65+

Well they can tax us some more! For instance tax on personal debts!! Why not? isn’t it the only thing Canadian government good for? Tax tax and more TAX

Unless we see deflation, the damage is done. The price of goods, specially rent/mortgage, and groceries, is now too high relative to wages. Wages will slowly rise over the next few years, but goods inflation jumped 30% and it might take 6 years for wages to catch up.. provided groceries and rent hold steady.. which they won't. Only the top 25% of Canadians are not feeling this squeeze that much. The lower a person is on the income ladder, the more this grocery and rent bill is hitting hard. If someone makes 40k a yr (median income), groceries and rent make up 70% of their total income. It is a huge deal. Our politicians don't get it, because they make far more than 40k/yr.

In third world countries, groceries and rent also make up 70%+ of someone's income. Just working to eat and have shelter is the definition of a poor nation. Check out the government's own website, statcan and you can see that median income is 43k/yr. 50% of employed people in Canada make less than 43k/yr. With groceries and rent where they are now, the only difference between Canada and any 3rd world nation is we have more infrastructure due to our hard working past, and less corruption, again, because of the cultural norms developed in this nation in the past. We are living off our past wealth and borrowing against our future prosperity to maintain a sense of normalcy. That will not last.

Yeah. Im one. We have household income of 100k a year. Rent alone is killing us. We usually just stay home to avoid unnecessary expenses and be able to save but still not enough. How much more for others with lesser income and with low self control? Tbh, I get them. Im borderline about to give up as well. Just live my life as fun as I could bc!! Home affordability is not promised actually very out of reach

Gen-X watched the ability of having a boomer retirement (or lifestyle) slip away like falling off a boat and attempting to swim to it as it drifts away from you over so slightly faster. Just enough that you never quite reach it but close enough that you never give up trying.

They manipulated the cpi basket to make mortgage costs a higher percentage in order to skew the number in their favour .

Bro. Groceries are double. Rent is double. Gas is double. Everything in life is more expensive. Wages are NOT keeping up. Fuck this system.

I want to be taxed on the food I eat. For every gram digested I need to pay a percentage. Tax my life span too everything should be taxed

That is not true, in fact Canada donate billions to countries in need. Ukraine alone another 500 million on the way, 60 million on Israel war and others. Also funds for increasing asylum seekers. All this Canada can absorb. Its own people must cared even better.

Trudeau and Freeland told us, everything is perfect and Canadians never had it better. If Canadians don't know how to appreciate this fabulous time under the incredible leadership of Trudeau, it's time to tax them even more.

Whatever happened to generation Y? When i was young, ppl born in the 80’s was called gen y and now they just disappeared. And millennial makes more sense referring to ppl born in 2000. These generational age brackets make no sense

There is also Xennials (myself included - 84) which is often left out. A mix of Gen X and Millennial. To quote the first thing that popped up in google "People typically consider the Xennial generation to include individuals who were born between 1977 and 1983, while some argue the generation extends to 1985".. I do not consider myself a millennial
