Biggest thing I didn't explicitly mention (that's obvious if you pay close attention) is I'm assuming 100% stocks from age 26 all the way to 90! It was obvious to me in making this but its important for you to know. Let me know your thoughts below!
As someone who is on the path to becoming a financial planner and happens to be 26 years old this video is GOLD.

Thanks Miguel! If there was a way to make it clickable it would be fun to do one with some complexity, but it would for sure be over an hour.
Just subscribed! Can’t wait for MONDAY. 🙌
“When we start withdrawing more principal than interest” is something someone who doesn’t understand investing would say
Hey Joshm hope you are well and crushing it. I was just going over your website and your linkedin profile and noticed that you are from Winnipeg. I am from Winnipeg too and currently working with RBC as a Banking Advisor. I am aspiring to become a Financial Planner/Advisor because I really love markets and investing. Been trading for the last 4 years actively in the US market. Great to see a homeboy thriving. Would love to connect sometime to discuss more about your journey and get inspiration from you. :)

Hi Josh, love your work! May I know the name of the financial software that you used in this video?

Why not convert most of the funds at retirement to a retirement income fund paying 4.5% and then the capital is preserved and you live off the income kicked off by the $750k. The income would be roughly the same as your example but then you don't have the same risks as depleting principal or removing 4% of your investments if there is a major negative event. I generally don't get the deal with wanting to stop working though, why not find a job you enjoy or even better if you already make a big income in your current job....find a way to enjoy what you do.
Hi, what would you better suggest , to become a financial advisor or financial manager? Or what jobs you find interesting except financial advisor that is connected with finance?

Hey Ralfs, thanks for watching! I'm not sure what a financial manager is exactly. Its a pretty broad title that could be applied to almost any industry (you could be a financial manager of a car dealership, a dental practice, etc). So its difficult for me to answer that. However some cool jobs in finance would be Financial Advisor/Wealth Manager (what I do, mostly) or you could go down the Wall-Street-esque route working in investment banking, private equity, etc. A career in Venture capital is also fascinating. It really depends on what you want out of your career and what set of trade-offs best match your desires and temperament.
What are your thoughts on the money guide pro software? I like this software you are using a bit better

Haven't actually used it before! I found Snap right as I was going independent and it was perfect for me. Haven't really looked at anything else since, honestly.
Hey I have a question do you have to get a degrees to be a financial dealer
@JoshOlfertCFP

It ultimately depends what you're aiming at! There are certain credentials or career paths where a degree is required, like getting your CFP or CFA designation (silly in my view), which can often be overcome if you have enough work experience. But there are many ways to become a financial advisor without one.
