    I have SIBO, and I’m working with a Functional Medicine Doctor. His diet is so strict. For a month I couldn’t eat anything but protein and some veggies. It was SO hard. He works through the fodmaps in stages. I’m able to eat a little more, but I’m drooling over your low fodmap meals. I can so relate to the worry about your mental health regarding food.

    You’re such an inspiration to us all. I have been dealing with digestion issues and edema around my eyes for 6 years then I recently started feeling muscle spams and twitching and doctors have not been able to figure out and one doctor called me crazy. I just started a low fodmap diet and for the FIRST time I’m feeling like there is hope. I felt alone and isolated from my family and the foods to eat. You are 100% right, god will not give us more than what we can handle and your last quote serves me as a reminder that he has greater things for us. Your thoughts on the possibility of us going through this is to help others or make ourselves better are the exact thoughts I’ve had and I’m a believer this is probably part of God’s plan! Keep sharing and helping those in need. You’re doing an amazing job! 😊

    Thank you for this video Elsah. My age is pretty close to yours and I've also been suffering from a lot of digestive issues and bloating. I was actually tested for SIBO this May! Though it came back negative :/ so I'm still doing further tests to pinpoint the problem. Finding your channel and videos has been uplifting for me because you are always so positive, encouraging, and warm in your videos. I appreciate your constant reminders that God is in control and that he has a greater plan for us all amidst all the trials and suffering because for me it's really hard to remember sometimes when I get lost in my own life and problems. I hope you recover from SIBO quickly and feel amazing. Best wishes.

    my experience is fodmaps avoidance manages sibo but doesn’t reverse the underlying gut issues. I think sibo is a symptom of deeper GI disturbance, like gut dysbiosis, metals, parasites, mold, chemicals, physical or emotional trauma, etc. ♥️♥️♥️ beautiful story thanks for your sharing!

    So what fixes the underlying gut issues ?

  • @elsahluan

    @elsahluan

    Жыл бұрын

    For me the key was fixing the lining of my small intestine. Turns out I had “leaky gut” otherwise known as gut permeability. Basically, nutrients were leaking out, and I wasn’t absorbing my food even though I was eating. I can only speak to my unique case but I was put on this substance called ION, a gut healing supplement. I had my doubts but it really did help to seal up any microscopic holes in my small intestine. That along with the antibiotic treatment for SIBO helped me feel better. Hope that helps! ☺️

    Good for you! I love your attitude about going through your health journey. I am also gluten-free, but with your continued digestive issues, you may want to discuss lectins with your doctor. They act similarly to gluten in the body and can also cause digestive discomfort. While I was gluten-free, I was still having issues and recently decided to remove lectins and noticed an improvement. I look forward to your improved health and thank you for sharing your story with us to help us all learn.

    So the Low Fodmap diet did help a lot with my symptoms! I never retested to see if the SIBO fully disappeared, but I ended up doing an herbal treatment a few months ago for it. For now I’ve just been avoiding onions, beans, any raw vegetables, etc. I had SO much burping and hiccuping initially, but I’m so happy to say that now I don’t have that! (That’s usually the tell tale sign for me that my SIBO is getting bad again). Thankfully now it seems that SIBO isn’t really a huge problem for me. Hello Elsah. Thank you for making this video which I so needed. I’ve endured stomach pain during most of the last year and it got to the point of not knowing what to eat because I felt that EVERYTHING triggered my stomach. I went to see a nutritionist and she introduced me to a low FODMAPS diet, which I didn’t understand completely at the begging haha but thanks to you and your video I decided today to follow my low fodmaps diet, now I have a better idea of what to eat to not “stress” my stomach. Great question! So I’m feeling so much better, but it has taken a number of months to get to this point. While on the antibiotic for 2 weeks things got a little worse, then a little better, and then were stagnant. But now by trying not to consume too many gas producing foods, I’ve been able to manage my SIBO symptoms, so I don’t have intense bloating anymore like used to. I also am not belching or hiccuping as often ironically. So yes, in my experience it helped me so much! Hope this helps. Thanks so much for watching! ❤️❤️❤️

    @@taylorbarnes7288 So it turned out that on top of having SIBO, I also had small intestinal permeability otherwise known as “leaky gut.” My doctor gave me this substance called ION, and it works to heal up those microscopic openings in the small intestine (because there shouldn’t be any of those in a healthy individual). So that was also a main problem on top of SIBO that is slowly being fixed. I have been able to reintroduce beans in smaller amounts. I remember I would get horrendous stomach aches after Chipotle even though it’s so delicious. I’m hoping to do the same with rice because I love it so much. When you reintroduce foods there is a detailed process you can go through, but for me I just would eat like a small spoon of it and do the same thing everyday for like 2 weeks. Then if it goes well, increase it just slightly and repeat the process. But don’t overdo it and throw away all your progress. That’s kind of how I approached it! I hope this helps ✨

But it will feed bad bacteria, viruses and feeds the pathogens which they thrive on. when I had a stupid acid reflux worst than you can imagine I couldn’t sleep or eat a tiny meal one was making my acid ballistic its like dropping nuke inside my stomach. I suffered for almost 2 years straight, I started drinking celery juice and change my diet but mostly meat and white rice didn’t bother mixing it with fruits and vegetables it help me neutralized it for a year. What caused me to trigger my acid from the start was eating fast food and drinking excessive alcohol like hennesy or other dark drinks also drinking coffee everyday was my daily routine. I was in the er multiple times because of my severe acid reflux. I also got h-pylori since the start as well but found out this year about 2 months ago so all those times dealing with my acid reflux I had h-pylori. I got antibiotics two months ago and took it for a month. It eradicated my whole gut microbiome the antibiotics killed everything in my stomach along with good gut bacteria and h pylori. After two weeks off antibiotics I was dealing with nutrition deficiency and had the worst brain fog 😶‍🌫️. And until I researched everything it ALL COMES DOWN YO YOUR STOMACH ACID !!! Only if I knew I have bad stomach acid I would’ve prevented taking antibiotics !!. What I did to heal my stomach is taking celery juice in the morning 8oz empty stomach wait 30mins to one hour before meals. Also before a meal I drink lemon juice with water cut half lemon squeeze into half of cup of water together. Every meal ! You have to get your stomach acid to ph level to 1-3 because higher than that cause acid reflux or heart burn. The bad stomach acid is causing everything to flare up ! You need your good stomach acid not the bad one ! If anyone who are suffering from acid reflux this will fix the issue !! Because think about it if we have a good stomach acid it will never cause acid reflux because it’s always close ! No harmful bacteria goes through your intestines because they die off from your stomach. You consume foods that has bacteria the stomach acid kills them and sends them to your colon and good bacteria feeds out of them and absorb nutrients! If your stomach acid is weak it cause a lot of problems like H-pylori, SiBo, colon cancer etc !!
