I used to love Tilapia till I read about them...there are healthier fish out there.

If you want to have the chickens lay more eggs I would suggest getting them oyster shells instead of reusing their egg shells during the summer and giving the birds some fruits or vegies that hold a lot of water like watermelon. Even giving them some mealworms as treats can help or crickets. But sometimes that can get costly and im sure you guys are handling your chickens really nice anyways! cant wait to hear more about the goats :)

You can raise your own meal worms, also good for the Tilapia when they get bigger.

I grew up in the Everglades in Miami Florida. We grew banana palms. You need to water them on top or they dry out and die. Tropical plants absorb water from both ends. 😊

Love the vids, but being a cichlid keeper, it is actually the female that broods the babies in her mouth, the male takes no role in mouth brooding. He will actually eat them. And talapia are a mouth brooder. Just wanted to inform as you have given me so much information about raising goats!

I keep cichlids as well, only african cichlids though... I also keep turtles, hamsters, ducks, dogs, mice, and parakeets.
