Of everywhere that Tim films, it's the footage of Sydney that I find the best. Guess I can't get over the nostalgia. Grew up in that town. Best city in the World!

That first wave by Sam Jones was something special. So much control for the situation he was in. That lazy relaxed stall that set him up perfectly is mind bending. I can't imagine being that relaxed in that situation, and then his technique for handling the shockwave was perfect. Hard to imagine that wave being ridden any better.

I remember going out to here with my mate Steve Tarr in his little Morris Major in the mid 70's and walking in to the vantage point and watching it a few times.. in ore at some of the barrels and deciding that it probably wouldn't be ridden.. how times have changed!!! 🤙

Pikers Hole was absolutely being ridden in the 70s, but not many around to document it. Other hairy spots ridden in the late 60s within a few km, as the crow flies, seem to have been lost to the collective memory too.

If there is a "Final Five" this is the kind of spot where the World Title should be decided. Maybe bigger, obviously paddle-only. Mavericks, Shipsterns, Mullaghmore, etc. If you can't surf waves like that, no World Title for you. If I was commish.

uhmmm Noooo.....Using his shoulder to dig in. Otherwise he wouldn't be able to take the drop or pull in. Got "Tossed" at the end due to the backwash.......an the other one was an attempted AIR FORWARD out CAPE........Benny has bigger balls than most, an plenty of knowledge an experience

Billy Kemp and Wayne Cleveland much respect Wayne we should have a chat I was brought up Gods country Yamba Angourie. I left school 15yrs old we sold the moby dick motel moved to Burleigh Heads. I started my plumbing apprenticeship working big companies all Highrise. getting my boards off Rodney Dahlberg and after each job spent decades travelling all the heaviest waves Australia just me 10 new boards and my dogs. all pacific islands, Portugal, Peru, Mexico, Brazil, morroco, Spain, Hossegor France, California and more. Come back 12months or longer get on next job do again. and i had a hidden Heavily involved life from family, friends and partners loose lips sink ships. I was no 🐑 sheep in a gang but rolling big people from turning 16yrs old to 38yrs old.Will Webber was my last shaper I'm 52yrs and that life was taken from me end 09. Heavily involved finally arrested living 2 lives perfectly costing me with big quantities of best pounds of our white rhino hydro, big quantities 89% old school speed, purest mdma big amounts ecstasy, cocaine I had to cut to 89% you know not from Australia and 2000 Valium in a plastic bag centre console of ute. I was held questioned for 5 days then sent to psychiatrist diagnosed with Bipolar 1,major depression, severe anxiety, Complex post traumatic stress worse than war,insane and drug psychosis. This was from holding long-term trauma and heavy drug abuse brought on from young that was done to me not by family .1st 11yrs old 2 weeks taken from home 🏡 Yamba to Sydney raped from time arrived And for some reason it happened again. bit later in life I payed the best criminal lawyer $260,000 cash and went surfing seeing psychiatrist 3 times a week. After everything i was sent start barrier reef close to family owned by psychiatrist and psychologist and heavy conditions for 1st time in my life. I've done 14yrs and 5 months and I'm finally told by my drs go live your life again. I had everything i wanted and got here broke lost everything and was definitely rock bottom Wayne. everything I did was pushing full on and living over the edge .from 11yrs old training boxing from 6yrs old old snowy who moved from Western Sydney. And over 35yrs Brazilian jujitsu, under ground bare nuckle and decades of street fighting. I've written a biography over the start to the end here only names left out and sent a copy to my loving Webber brother Monty . He was blown away said I wrote so well but this was when he found out what I kept to myself from young till I told my father 27yrs old in the shed Burleigh Heads. I thought me and Monty could print and split everything 50 /50 . He put me onto the best biography writer in Sydney she said will be a best seller but not concinment. She needed $30,000 up front I said that was chump change old life but put on a disability pension since 09 for the rest of my life. They ended up sitting on the spare room bed when sent to be close to family and owned by psychiatrist and psychologist.and heavy conditions But it was a long hard road but I've heard the words off my psychologist. I'm so proud of you you have done it Johnny I have alot to offer others its already been happening .and I just feel proud I have so much knowledge and understanding of psychiatrist medication and psychology, suicide. When my Webber's where on the spare bed that's when my awesome travelling free surfing was taken from me way to soon. Being out in the ocean charging awesome waves was the only place that took everything away I felt normal and always being in a different place or country took everything away for a little. Stomp it don't claim it and paddle back out and go deeper 🤙🤙hope that's what you're enjoying Jaycee
