In the morning they were on the ground or hanging like a flag 😂 I have had soo much inspiration and learned a lot from you! But this is something I really need and probably lots of us. And don’t think it is booring when you do things again and again. That gives inspiration every time and as you learn you pick up new things you didn’t understand before. Lots of love to both of you from Sweden ❤️

Growing anemones and ranunculus is challenging due to the weather here in southern Wisconsin. I presprouted mine in mid February. I potted them up individually and put them under grow lights. The anemones were planted out on March 21 and we received 12 inches of heavy wet snow on March 25. I used the super hoops, row covers and tarp on top. I planted the ranunculus on April 7th. I've had to cover and uncover all of them since. Just a week ago we had snow and then hail a week ago. I have buds on the ranunculus and one anemone has already bloomed. I can't wait for more blooms here and to see your blooms. Have a great day!

Laura just wanted to let you know since you experimented with leaving Dahlias in ground overwinter that I discovered I missed 2 ranuculous when digging them out last fall, and they're currently alive and sprouted! I'm also a zone 6 a little north of you in Central WA we got down to -6F this winter but they survived with just a little bark mulch over the top of them! Another plant you might be able to leave in ground over winter! I got generic grocery store corms nothing special or particularly hardy!

I want to try overwintering Ranunculus tender variety too, but I have not seen any for sale either lately or last autumn. I want to try the same with a sample of cheap Dahlias too. Most of my plastic pots are triple-layered for winter protection, and so far nothing dies, but my Gladioli Peacock Orchids never bloom do to the cold, so I have repotted them so pots can be stored indoors in winter.

I live in SW Montana, 4b. We have a good bit of vole and white-tail deer pressure. Please recommend perennials that grow successfully under these conditions.

What a monumental task, but the rewards will be spectacular…if the weather cooperates! I noticed you had a kneeling pad, but weren’t using it…your poor knees!

I'm in Wales and leave my ranunculus in the whole year. They've got buds and ready to bloom.
