first detail i noticed was that it has less armor than a normal paragon edit 2 years later cause i got reccomended this video again: EXTREMELY dissapointed it doesn't have damper field. It's literally the low tech equivalent of fortress shield. They both counter burst damage

Well cuz its a salvage modified paragon reverse engineer to fit as many gun as it can hold they probably needed to remove some space from armor to fit it in the hull.

On the topic of mods, have you ever tried the dun scaith? It's from talahan shipworks, insanely fun, insanely strong, and can kill the lowtech paragon in the combat sim despite having 5 less dp cost, overall: its fun as hell and you should try it

Low tech just make sense. Why deal with shields and have to expose your fragile hull if you want to reliably pump damage into your enemies when you could just make a metal onion and tank literally everything?

The only exception to low tech is phase ships because doom cruisers are just too goddamn easy to get for how powerful they are. (Except in the hands of the ai)

Small summary low tech=burst , high tech=sustainability. But u see what i like about the game is that u can create ur own and the summary are just defaults , so if u make low tech=sustainability in that case adding alot of flux dissa and capacity then you'll have a bursting dmg sustainable hull that can destroy , burst any fricking shield at a sustainable rate and their laughbale armor.

High tech usually has a higher alpha strike, what with anti-matter blasters and plasma cannons, and the lances. but Low tech pumps out consistent, near constant damage, it makes them better in big long engagements. plus you can tailor your damage output with ballistic mounts. but then again I am biased twords my space bricks

@@Blade40688 you are correct. ship like doom and other high-tech ship is better for short engagement as they deal high damage but tend to lose CR fast. while midline and lowtech tend to last long and lower DP

Late reply , but it op for a longer range built in mod which is advanced targeting ai, i think its intended use is obviously for long range artillery bombardment, got to abuse using railgun, hypervelocity, and gauss cannon for it. But use anything u want because its special ability is accelerated ammo feed which is pretty good considering u have long range advantage and just increase that flux dissapate at max, half or 25% OP for flux capacity and put high armor mod with resistant conduit flux , should be good to go.
