For some reason, society likes to break things down into black and white when our world functions in shades of gray. For instance, murder in cold blood is bad but murder to protect yourself is understandable. You can be an animal lover and still eat animals. You can breed animals for food and breed animals for pets. As humans, we have taken on the responsibilities of caring and protecting these animals for their designated purpose. I love how passionate you are about it and am so excited to watch your journey!

If Ringo is true dwarf, he has 1 copy of the dwarf gene (2 copies result in reabsorbed/DOA/malformed runts). So in theory 1/2 of the kits have 1 copy of the gene and are dwarf😊 1/2 have no dwarf gene and are "normal". None of the kits will show silvering (unless Ringo carries it?) but all will carry it. Silver needs 2 copies of the gene to be visible.

We have a similar philosophy on our farm. We raise our meat with kindness and respect, so they live their best life. We also have a 'we don't eat pets' rule. Once an anilmal is a pet, they stay that way. It's important to maintain the psychological health boundaries of the animals, kids, and adults (because I have a hard time not petting the food 🥰🐄).

Ringo and Bobcat and their babies are adorable! I had a special rabbit named Ringo as well. He was a DQ Rex. I raised mainly Mini Rex and Dutch but Ringo was the larger size. He had rings around his eyes. He was quite a clown!

I absolutely adore bunny cuddles right up under your chin, something about it brings me the most wonderful since of calm. Thank you for sharing your videos, your fun, and your knowledge. I really appreciate your channel💖

Grats, hun! Can't wait to see how your further crossing experiments go. It would be neat to see a miniature creme breed created by someone so passionate about the larger breed. You show ao much care for your critters and it is always wonderful seeing folks being responsible with their pets and their meat livestock. Keep at it!

My very first ND turned out to not be show quality. He became a house rabbit. I set him up in a x-pen with a litter box. I worked out beautifully. Try putting your Floeida white rabbit on a diet. Not saying she looks fat but fat around the ovaries can prevent them from getting bred. It worked for me twice. Once with a really nice ND doe my mentor couldn't get bred and once with a very expensive Holland Lop doe.

I have a male ND and a very large female American Sable. They have had 5 litters together now. Just had a litter of 11 two days ago. I think its hilarious to see them breed. The first time she was getting frustrated with him so she pinned him down and got behind him like here... Let me show you how its done!😂😂😂 Then he figured it out after that. "Falling off" is the funniest thing ive ever seen!!

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one to pick up car hit deer. I also have "house" rabbits and outside ones. I bring my rabbits inside or into my living room to watch TV, but I also breed them. Some people think that is strange. I think that if my rabbits feel more comfortable with me and being held, they will breed better. I also have a doe like yours that is "having issues breeding". She will attack my buck and I'm giving her one more chance on Monday to get it together before she is gone.

They are so cute!! I'm glad you had a successful breeding! Off subject/need advice: I have two does that use the bathroom in the nest box. They use it in the front and the babies are nestled in the back. It is causing nest box eye though, plus I feel like I'm having to waste hay by cleaning it out so often. Should I just cull them or is there a way I can help prevent this?
