I love it when things are shadow-dropped, but I also like when 343 announces an update before it goes live, just to get people hyped up. Sometimes Halo fans won't know about an update until they play the game or see a video online. I'm very excited for the match composer, although I don't expect that to be shadow dropped!

I'm really hoping they add more weapons in the future as the sandbox is already stale with even the Bandit being considered old in my eyes. Even bringing back old weapons would do great to shake up the boring sandbox. Especially if all the old Brute weapons were added. I'd love to see the Spiker, Mauler, and most of all the Brute Shot come back in a huge weapon sandbox update. That would be just the best.

I don't understand the hate for Behemoth, it's been my favorite arena map since even the flights. It's always given me a vibe of a mix of sandtrap and valhalla from Halo 3 which are 2 of my favorite maps. I'm more of a BTB player tho so maybe that's why.

What we need is a dedicated TeamSlayer SquadBattle. No bullshit CTF No bullshit KOTH No bullshit OB No bullshit whatever else. Just fun Team Slayer. With 16 people. Like the good old days. This game STILL has soooo much potential with legit gameplay. Yet, they constantly push stupid, pointless, irrelevant looking cosmetics... The shit they created doesn't even remotely fit into Halo. Just Hideous. Lol That trash looks more like Crysis, Resistance, or even Killzone. Leave It there!!! Lol P.s. Not having post lobby chat is fucking ridiculous, it's a staple in Halo. Also, why did they remove the words "Carnage Report" did it offend someone? Sounds too abusive? 😅

Give Squad Battle the same BTB xp multiplier, then Id play it more.

Yup. If it remains pistol starts I have zero interest personally. I’d also like an option to choose between the Bandit and Evo as I personally hate the Evo. Aiming just feels unbelievably off for me and descope isn’t worth it for a 0.1x zoom increase lol.

About time Squad Battle got some more content. The current maps definitely got stale for me. Also shoutout to the Halo 4 map remake. Perdition was a good one.

Whatever did happen to those leaked weapons? The Spiker, Liberator, and like I think a forerunner pistol? Those weapons were kind of in the works, yet now are DOA.

The only ones I think we'll see are the Mutilator (double barrel shotgun) and the Falcon. I don't think we'll see anything else come to the sandbox but I'd love to be wrong!

I’m partial to Firefight KOTH and while we just got new maps for it I’d love them to add enemy vehicles on some larger maps

Great news but they need to make squad battle 1.8x xp as well, or even 1.4xp or something.

That ODST map needs to be in, I don't know, Firefight: King of the Hill, too.

I heard launch site and forbidden will also be added to squad battles as well

I hope we get more classic maps from past Halo games (mainly Halo 1 - 3). I would love to see new weapons and classic weapons from past Halo games too. Perhaps Dual Wielding weapons in Multiplayer 😉.

I thought they were adding a bunch of base maps too that would probably be too small for 8v8. I sure hope there's more new forge maps. Hopefully that relic remake rolls out

I feel like in some way this puts Infinite in a truly "whole" state to a large extent. With this update there won't be a single mode that I can think of that will desperately need more maps. With this and the networking update hopefully coming in about 6 weeks It'll be a fun couple of months for Halo.

This is new content in the way the weather forecast is news. You knew it was coming and it is not very different from the day to day. If 343 want to make news, bring in some of the weapons from previous games like the needle rifle. Or maybe do away with armor coatings and bring back color customization. That would be good and positive. The best part is that it wouldn't even require that much work. You have the reference for all this old stuff. You have professional 3D artists that could knock this out in maybe a day or two. This isn't that hard with and already existing framework and tools.

Im pretty sure that map is legit the one firefight map from odst The one thing that would make this better is if they finally fixed the naming conventions for playlists Rename SB to btb, and rename the 12v12 mode something different, and the other playlists that have the wrong names

This is just some random thought of mine but wouldn't it be really really really cool to have a "COD" based Halo campaign/game? I would really love to play a Marine or an ODST. And I mean like the older CODs, like Black Ops 1, WAW, COD4, like the more serious ones like man imagine an ODST game with that Black Ops feel or a Marine one with a WAW feel. I just really think what Halo needs in the stories right now is just the _perspective_ as I call it. Right now, Spartans don't feel special because they aren't put in a place where they would shine. Only Brohammer provided that but he's just one guy. Imagine playing as a Marine and having such a hard time because all you have is health instead of stamina or shields and stuff you just have to make do and find some medkits or biofoam or whatever, then when they introduce Spartan characters who maybe saves you or you at least get to see what they'd do in the story you could feel the same thing Marines feel when they saw the Chief. Like another example would be that one scene in the Forward Unto Dawn film where the Chief saves Lasky's group in the locker room from that Elite and how they felt so powerless having their friends get picked off. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

12v12 would be good if the maps were large enough. But currently they too cramped for vehicles and anything larger than 6v6. 343 was like "lets increase the play count.... but make all the maps smaller." 8v8 works on the forged old maps, I dont see any Infinite original map being viable for 8v8.

Dont think I'll ever load up Halo Infinite again but I'll never say the game had no maps. Pretty sick to be able to boast 60+ maps

It’d be nice if they changed the starting weapon to AR BR or AR DMR. The sidekick(main kick) is so stale. I’m surprised they haven’t addressed it and how boring it is to die to it or use it.

I can't help feel so bitter sweet about Infinite and I don't have faith in 343 if they release a new Halo MP that they will deliver a content / feature rich and complete experience. If they release another barebones Halo game than this franchise will die to the point of no more interest in general. The amount of dev content in Infinite just scratches what a (Halo) game should launch with.

I learned sbmm makes you switch up your play style. If you were plahing fast before and now fast is completely failing. Trying playing slow like Rainbow 6. What I do. Either that or I just die to a rare hacker. 😅

I'm not doubting your experience but my issue is exactly the opposite. About half the time the majority of my team in SB are low skill to the point they can't be carried. So many default blue armors on my teams. And I'm not in low MMR lobbies because I've played multiple times against Mint Blitz, UberNick, and at least once against LouisVTitan. A few days ago it was Blitz and UberNick on the same opposing team! True to form, most of my team struggled to equip a weapon off a rack. It was not a pretty game for our side.
