When I was a kid, I acquired a light wooden boomerang somewhere. I took it out to the back yard to test it out. On the first throw, it slammed into a rock and shattered. In other words, I feel your pain.

Hi Andy. If you are still interested (I mean if the crash didn't spoiled it) to illuminate the 4 extra over head lights, the model train guys have SMD led to be used in the trainswaggons and/or houses. The are ready assembled with resistors and cable ready to be connected. They should be small enough to fit in the housings, but not sure if the voltage is matching. But at worse you might to ad or change the resistor. (and thy are also coming in a various "white" colours) BTW just to tell you it was you clip of the Tiger I with winter camouflage a long time ago, which brought set me to this hobby again. 😊)

Whaouw... great build Andy !!! The crack just makes it look even more realistic. Don't change anything. Congratulations. I love your armour builds but also like when you do something different. Can't wait to see your next videos. I know that besides the time you have to work in your store, it is a lot of work producing these videos and I just want to say you thank you for sharing your experience. You always make my day when I watch any of your videos.

Looks outstanding! Too bad they didn’t engineer the front cab to tilt forward for access to the wiring. I was going to say how uplifting your video was, but the better compliment would be that you inspired me to work on yet another model. For that I say, “ thank you!”

I did exactly the same build. Very enjoyable. Had a few problems; made the mistake of using grey primmer - should have used white. Also couldn’t find an easy way to route some of the cables in the battery connector part without moving them under a side panels. I took the easy way out and left out the dash and seats, and smoked the glass panels - easier to manage the MFC wiring. Now become a “shelf queen” like all my models!

Hi Andy, I bought this model and enjoyed building it. Here in Australia it cost me $1400, $380 for boom actuator, I bought flasher bar lights and over cab led lights, MFC cost $400, finishing it off disappointed that tamiya did not supply leds to fit tail lights and long enough leads, having to buy extra for the boom, winches that did not work, I bought after market winches. As you said in video you cannot light up all the lights, again tamiya should have supplied enough leds to light up the whole truck. At this price range you would expect to be able to light up the whole truck. But with that said it was a good model to build.

Hi Andy , great job finishing the truck , with the cracked windscreen ive had some luck using clear floor polish (i use pledge floor polish ) to hide them , it does help to hide them quite abit just a small pipette drop on the inside , it kind of wicks into the crack and dries perfectly clear

Awesome video & build!!! Think the cracked wind shield looks more authentic. Also, as you were driving that beast around, had a image pop in my mind as for decals to add: somewhere on one of those panel doors place some "tick marks" to indicate the number of vehicles that were towed (kind of like victory marks placed on fighter aircraft to indicate the number of kills).
