Henning, you are absolutely right. With Angelina, “Diva” becomes what it should normally be again. A tall lady with a huge voice. In the end the name was associated with Maria Calles. And Angelina should grow into such a lady again and help the name “DIVA” sound like that again!

She looks like She just came down from where ever the Gods reside..... Greek , Roman or Persian....... Shes our Persian Princess.... and then she sings !!!!.... She is not singing with KORK.... She is singing and KORK is playing for her. Outstanding !!

One interesting thing to point out is that Angelina appears to be the only singer who performed at two Nobel Peace Prize Events - the first at 8 years old and this one at age 17 - what a great honor for Angelina.

Friend, it was such an honor for Miss Angelina to sing this song in front of one of the most respected orchestras in Scandinavia, also, I bet, her big fan and Friend Crown Prince Haakon of Norway was in the audienece. As the royal family of Norway are the hosts of the Nobel Prize presentation, I am pretty certain of this. The musicians of KORK know her for around 7 years (summertime with KORK at 11, Back to Black at 10) and they love, respect her madly and for sure adore her. How can she do 10 versions of this song and they all are master pieces? the girl is just the best to ever have come to grace the world.

Beyond her grace and the perfection of this performance, there are three things that make it particularly significant: She is Norwegian and Norway is the home of the Nobel Peace Prize, her Grandmother is Iranian, and the song was written about a prisoner longing to be reunited with a loved one. The honoree, Narges Mohammadi is in prison for her fight against the oppression of women in Iran. Add to that the fact that Angelina's stated goal since childhood is to spread love and healing through her music, so it is fitting that she would perform this song at this venue.

What can I say but, WOW! That was, by far, my favorite version of that song by her or by anyone for that matter. Stunningly beautiful to hear & to see. The woman introducing her was right, she's an International Star & she's only just begun & in a year or two, a household name. Thanks Alex!

She held back here and changed it up from her concert back in September. But here she looked so elegant and had a level of class unmatched in the industry There seems to be a short of her singing Love Dont Let Me Go in the same set with the orchestra

Hi Alex. I have been repeatedly stunned by the wonder that is Angelina Jordan, but THIS...this completely melted my brain, and I couldn't stop the tears. This was the absolute epitome of bewildering talent and mind-bendingly BEAUTIFUL voice, combined with superlative elegance, beauty and grace. She has performed with orchestras and bands many times, in many concerts, but one recurrent problem has been the lack of good audio recording (often what we get are apparent rather low-quality cellphone recordings) and also, the bands sometimes tend to drown out some of the beautiful and unique nuances of her voice. Thank heavens they got it right this time, with the result that we were fully able to immerse ourselves in the heavenly wonder of Angelina at her very best. Everything about this performance simply screams CLASS: her unsurpassable singing, her stunningly beautiful voice, her angelic appearance and presentation, as well as the performance of the orchestra. The entire world needs to see and listen to this performance, and understand that Angelina Jordan is one of the greatest blessings that God, in whatever form you choose to see him, has ever bestowed upon this world. One more thing. The Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to Narges Mohammadi, an Iranian woman who has been fighting for women's rights in Iran and is currently in prison, and was therefore unable to receive the prize in person. Her children, who now live in exile in France, have not seen their mother in many years and thus received the prize in her absence, and when you listen to the lyrics of the song, which Angelina sang in her honour, they seem hauntingly appropriate.

You forgot to mention that this is the first time anyone has sung twice for the Nobel Peace Prize recipient. Also, her grandmother Mery is Iranian, and she lived there when little, so she has Iranian blood. I’m sure that honor made it extra special for her to participate.

It is amazing to watch a video which is just one day old (this is recorded on Dec. 11th 2023). So this is Angelina as she is NOW. Awesome to watch and hear. And I did just realize: this is almost exactly 10 years after Angelina blew all Norwegians away as a tiny 7 years old with her outstanding rendition of "Gloomy Sunday". I wonder: will she perform at Norway Got Talent next spring to celebrate her 10 year being an artist?? Do think about it: she will be 18 years in Januari and already 10 years in the showbizz...

One of the most beautiful and elegant performances of Angelina's career! Sheer grace and a living art form! She commanded that stage, that song, and that audience.

If anyone has ever had any doubts about Angelina and her abilities, stage presence, and commitment this performance erases all that - Republic Records needs to give Angelina all the support she needs to spread her love around the world.

She is indeed something out of this world. She also sang "Love Don't Let Me Go" during the unaired part of the event, but so far I have only seen a partial clip of that performance

I think that was a rehearsal - but I am hoping for a full concert with KORK...

She sang with this orchestra before, once when she was around 10 she sang 'Summertime" and "Back to Black"

Wow! She makes every song her own. Her phrasing is unique and impeccable. The way she moves effortlessly from such a low register to true soprano-I don’t know anyone of any age who can do that. Magnificent. Yes, Alex, we need a full concert in a major music venue. She gets better as she matures.

This is such a great performance of Angelina and the wonderful KORK. She has such a rich vocal toolbox and she shows her softness, power and beautiful clear higher reach :-)

Alex, thanks for your reaction. Narges Mohammadi was this years' recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize. Narges, is currently on a hunger strike while imprisoned in Iran, for being an activist for women's rights. Her two children spoke on her behalf at this event. All the performers were Iranian. We know Angelina's grandmother, Mery Zamani, grew up in Iran and was a prodigy for painting and poetry. We can imagine the conversations Mery had with Angelina about Narges. This performance had to be extremely meaningful to Angelina and her family. I hope all the angels will spread the story of Narges and her mission, with the hope for change.

Each time she sings this song it is beautiful in a different way she is easy to admire and love her talent

I am 92 and was just seeing my time out until I heard this girl sing. I have heard and seen some wonderful female singers in my time but nothing like this. I have often wondered why I am still here and now I know, I have watched her from the age or seven and Gloomy Sunday until today, she is just getting better every time. I think I will hang on a bit longer.

Nice reaction. It’s been a while but Angelina has performed with large ensembles before between the ages of 10-12. With KORK she recorded Back To Black and performed Summertime live. With the Norwegian military band she recorded the album It’s Magic and performed the album in concert This is however probably the most prestigious occasion

Aside from being the most talented singer to grace this world with her voice, Angelina is also one of the classiest and gorgeous creatures to walk this earth!

Alex , this is not the only time that Angelina has performed with the Norwegian radio orchestra { aka , KORK ). You happened on a very special performance here. They are both Norwegian National treasures ! Angelina was declared Norway 's National Treasure by decree of their King and their Prime Minister after she won Norway 's Got Talent at age 8 ! This is also not the only time Angelina has performed for the Nobel Peace Prize Gala. For your info. , The Peace Prize is awarded in Angelina 's home town of Oslo , Norway.

Angelina's family are fiends of the Crown Prince and his family. When she won Norway's got talent and became the youngest contestant to win a major got talent show they named her Norway's National Treasure .

@@stevebeck7704 Again, a source ? There are many Norwegian and international artists that has performed in the presence of the Norwegian royal family. Some several times. That in itself is not that special. Many Norwegian artists has also been knightet by his Majesty the King.

Like you Alex, been waiting for this, and especially after listening to Angelina with that pick up band and cell audio at the Portsmouth performance. The sound mix was perfect here with these A list musicians. Definitely a must to listen to with a good set of Headphones, you will hear things that are not evidently audible otherwise! Thank you sir!

She sang this directly to Narges Mohammadi (in a Iranian prison for years because of her stand for women's human rights) and her two children (twins, a boy and a girl now living in France) and their father. As the song was nearing the end you could hear it in Angelina's voice. Her heart was crying out for Narges Mohammadi to be set free.

She has perfected all her motions and all her emotions into her songs, we are so blessed to witness this in real time.

Those who went to Portsmouth said her rendition of this song there was the best. However, for this performance she sang the song completely differently, taking note of the solemnity of the occasion in honoring the recipient. Of course, the full orchestra added to the performance. She has sung many, many times with an orchestra and seems to shine even more brightly with one. I thought this was, hands down, better than Portsmouth. She was even dressed appropriately for the occasion. Love this girl!

The end is so fragile and the sound is going directly in to your heart!

KORK is the Radio Orchestra of Norway. She has many KZread videos with Orchestras and KORK is a part of many of the concerts …keep looking!

Finally….she should have an orchestra the minute she signed with Republic. Her voice by itself, even with just a guitar is one of the best….if not the best. Emma Kok and Amira from overseas as well are a close second to me….but with Angelina she has sung at least 200 covers and a few originals that are beyond anything I have EVER heard…better than the originals. An orchestra just gives her more recognition.
