I never paid attention to arm wrestling before 6 months ago when these started popping up in my youtube feed. Now I cant stop watching because Devon is a genius with these videos and his demeanor. Its absolutely hilarious and I am sure it is growing awareness and interest in the sport. Hope he keeps them coming.

Definitely epic! And I don’t mind people who are “taking the trash talk seriously” if by seriously you mean they’re getting hype about the match because of it. But, if you mean the people that are saying Devon is “taking it too far” or whatever with his trash talk, yeah, those people are morons who have no idea how to promote anything, OR what mental warfare is. Aka the match before the match. Devon always talks massive shit before and even DURING his matches. In ANY competitive arena that exists, there’s a very real mental and psychological part to it. And I don’t just mean the mental part of like, knowing how to compete and the strategies you’re going to employ and all of that. There’s also a psychological aspect that’s “outside” the game. For instance, psychological mind games that are more personal in nature. These mind games can happen at any point, and so many people are susceptible to them.

John Brzenk is an absolute living legend. Sure he's lost matches, but the man has cemented his status dominating the sport for over 40 years often beating guys who are much bigger than he was during his prime. Sure there are other arm wrestlers who are more popular/well known or better ambassadors for the sport. Longevity, accomplishments, status & universally respected is what defines John’s legacy as the GOAT. Even now at age nearing 58 soon he is still a beast for his weight class. He is indeed the perfect storm ⛈ 💪 🔥 🐐

This is why North America is dominating only in the sports that are local, baseball or American football, while in all other sports Eastern athletes just compete between each other.
