Joseph. Since the P365 and many other handguns are “off roster” in CA, you can only purchase through private party, using a local FFL dealer to make the transfer of ownership. There is an action in the courts to overrule the “off roster” ban of guns in CA. I’m not sure if there is a decision yet. Sadly, CA is the worst offender of our 2nd amendment rights.

I believe to be CA compliant it needs a loaded chamber indicator and a mag disconnect “safety” totally arbitrary requirements that does not make the firearm any more safe or lethal. (They dropped the microstamping requirement)

Is the G26 modular? The P365 is and allows at least a dozen different pistol setups with its Fire Control Unit.

@@Mdg949 Not a problem at all. Swap out the regular 365 module for an XL and it runs just as advertised. Edit: As of today I just found out that the magazine disconnect MIGHT be an issue with regular modules. Guess we’ll just have to stay tuned.

Why is the standard P365 around $500 in free states, and the Commiefornia version close to $700? Please explain this to us. Go!

Those extra costs can be attributed directly to the those who govern and regulate firearms and firearm sales in each state. CA has the worst fees. Similar to gas prices. The manufacturer must pass the cost onto the consumer.

once you remove the magazine disconnect, you will be able to swap out the frame, slide, and any other part freely to configure your own x macro using the p365 fcu

@@joebrown9106 You are correct in that there is no loaded chamber indicator. however this model did have a mag disconnect. Both aftermarket addition are tedious with a pistol which already has a manual safety. I haven't seen the "new" CA compliant models, nor do I wish to if they include an LCI and mag disconnect.

@@joebrown9106 When the owner purchased that P365 (first model) it was CA compliant. The fact that CA has moved the goal post again with their recent ridiculous requirements on otherwise good pistols has no bearing on this pistol featured.
