FINAL VLOG... Scary and Dangerous PHILIPPINES

This is the final vlog of my Cordilleras adventure in the Philippines...
The drive from Ifugao to Benguet was a little bit intense, scary and even dangerous at times. In this vlog you will see me leave and drive my motor across the highest point in the Philippines highway system. Along the way I hit an active landslide...
It was inspiring to see everyone doing Bayanihan! But it was also dangerous.
What a way to end my Cordilleras adventure.
Power On!

  • @loriechilson925
    @loriechilson9255 жыл бұрын

    The scene you were in, "landsliding on the spot" that's how Halsema road was and still is. I don't know why, all those years, the department responsible for road improvements cannot come up with solutions. Bessang Pass is the ultimate route going to Baguio, La Union, Pangasinan, Manila, Ilocos regions and beyond. Bessang Pass that I knew was not the Bessang Pass you passed - paved. Road then was covered with gravels and potholes. Not an easy road to navigate, scary at times because of the elevation. Little mistake in driving can cause you your life and the rest of the passengers in the car. Stunning route, no doubt but dangerous. Hopefully Cordillera will get the attention it needed because of your coverage and to places that needed roads and bridges improvement. You magnified the problems rooted in the mountains. Mountain provinces need access to good road so farmers can bring their produce to the designated distribution areas. It's been a very good ride with you. You brought me a lot of memories bad and good. Your motivation and determination are infectious despite seemingly unsolvable situations and still have that grin in your face. I've learned things I didn't know - "Ifugao history. Talking to Marlon and Janu brought light as to why Mountain Provinces were not populated by the Spaniards considering they've been in the Philippines for over 300+. I hope to see you in other parts of the Philippines. You deserve complete rest. 21 days on the road? Not easy on the body. From big sister - take it easy.

    I tremendously enjoyed your journey. I was with you in all those mountains and rivers and cliffs, ravines and gorges that I love to watch back in college when I was in Baguio. But the drone's footages were magnificent. It gave a different view from the limited access my camera can take way back when the drone was only a concept or is used only in stealth operations by the US and Israeli military. It was like being there myself on the mountain tops and the different angle it provided, wow! Thank you for covering the Cordilleras. Hello Kulas and good morning Philippines....what an adventure again that captivates every heart to desire and visit the beautiful side of Cordillera mountains...hoping that thru this video clip of yours Kulas will inspire the Philippine government to develop and repair roads for the benefits of the local vegetable growers of the country. I think that because of corrupt officials of that region, the budget for road development has been pickpocketed. The national goverment (COA- comission on audit) should investigate and ask the local officials ((DPWH) to explain the whereabouts of the budget. The area has a good potentials to attract tourists only if the roads are safe to travel..local people can live in peace and harmony only if the national government provides and develop good infrastracture. Everyone can climb that mountain areas with confidence! God bless Kulas and Mabuhay Philippines!

    So glad you are safe. But what an experience and to see how everyone gets out, even the drivers, to help out.... with limited and inapprorpiate tools. Yet they persevere.This is what they do.

    It was really scary and intense what i watched. Great things about pilipinos, they come together, helped each each other as one when there's incident like this kind. Landslide is always a problem in the mountains like where you are and its a big burden to them whom always drive thru that road every single day. Especially trucks loads of their produce or whatever just to transport it from point A to point B....! I really admired your courage to trekk and experience this things as a traveller. You are indeed a true warrior...! Keep safe Kulas....! God be with you.
