Whenever I have a bad day I just watch this. No matter how bad I may feel, I just listen to Lou Holtz base his argument on mystical bullshit and it brings a smile to my face every time.

+Britton Thompson I hate to say it, but i miss this version of college football final, joey galloway is bland and biased and has no personality and instead of staying up for a laugh at college football final, i just turn in early. ESPN really needs to solve this problem.

You are so right, even though Lou Holtz bothered me every time he opened his mouth, this was still the original crew that will never be beaten. Joey Gallaway is a lot worse than just bland and biased, I would go as far as to say that he is a true IDIOT and I do not think he comes close to being good enough at his job to be on College Football Final !!! He makes the show UNWATCHABLE !!!!!

Utterly agree these guys are a Odd Couple and it be hilarious to see them review movies also. Chemistry and both were entertaining and great, along with when they picked games on Friday.

These truly were some hysterically funny skits, I always looked forward to watching them after all the college football games were finished late Saturday night

We have to look at this clip and consider several factors. Holtz coached at Notre Dame and is the biggest Notre Dame homer ever(granted, he has reason to be). Rece Davis graduated from Alabama and is likely biased. Mark May is the only objective analyst of the three. He's usually right. I say Alabama wins.

The feeling is mutual. We in the SEC are tired of everybody around the country saying the SEC is overrated and wishing for our demise. Any of the other top 5 teams from last year would have been better than Notre Dame. I personally would have liked to see a rematch between the Aggies and Bama. Give Saban more time to gameplan and let the guys be rested instead of coming off that emotional victory against LSU a week prior. Now that would have been an interesting National Championship.

Well Texas A&M isn't exactly a scrub. They got 10 wins this season and a Heisman trophy winning Quarterback. Theres no shame in that loss for me as a fan. Our guys played terrible for two weeks straight. They barely escaped with a win against LSU despite poor play. They played bad again a week later yet still they fought back into the game but couldnt pull it off two weeks in a row. Thats the way it goes some time. We ended up where we belong anyway. Notre Dame is about to find that out.

I agree that Alabama has better overall talent. No doubt about it. But I must admit that at certain positions, mainly linebacker and the secondary, I would give Notre Dame a slight edge based on a couple players they have. But I would say with confidence that they aren't the best defensive we have faced this year. LSU has a better defense and Georgia has a lot of big time playmakers too. Look what we did to the Bulldogs D. Our offense is just that good when they play to their best.

When it comes to football fans they are one in the same. Those that boast too much or expect too much are crazy or naive. But there is nothing wrong with SEC fans being proud of their conference's overall success over the last 7 years. If it were any other conference, their fans would behave the same way.

Yeah. That's shaping up to be pretty far reality at this point. Just goes to show that you can't always count on two things in college football: the unpredictability of injuries and Alabama being on top.

True champions don't struggle against inferior opponents. Bama fans know this. Thats because Alabama knows a thing or 2 about being true champions. I thought Georgia was better. I also made that comment a month ago. Nobody even cared about Missouri and thought that they would even be ranked this season and they're in the top ten now (and could get higher). Alabama also got better as time went on when they weren't even trying in their games at the beginning besides A&M.

Agreed. If he wanted to ever be taken seriously he should begin every statement by first saying that he has blind allegiance to Notre Dame. You seriously cant be that naive. There is a lot more to a record than just merely being undefeated. Teams in the FBS Subdivision go undefeated but that doesnt mean they could hang with the likes of Alabama. When a team struggles against inferior competition that says something about the make up of a team. Notre Dame struggled against the likes of Purdue, BYU, and Pitt. You didn't see Alabama struggling with any of the scrubs on their schedule. They blew out all of their inferior competition.
