I know this is a really old video and the whole debate thing was all done just for fun, but Mark seemed to have forgotten about the fact that schedules are made years in advance and nobody knows how good a team is going to be when you play them vs when you schedule them. I can look at Notre Dame’s schedules right now and see games that have already been scheduled well into the mid 2030’s. Plus take a team like USC. Notre Dame plays them every single year. For a while USC was really good, which helped ND’s SOS, but lately they haven’t been quite as good, so obviously their SOS would be negatively affected by USC’s poor performance. Just for record, so far through 7 games in 2021 ND has the 5th best SOS in the country. In 2017 they finished the year with the 2nd best SOS. 6th best in 2015.

Jesus Christ Lou Holtz is the most biased analyst in the world. Everything is all about NOTRE DAME NOTRE DAME NOTRE DAME. He constantly talks about how they are just the best team on the planet. I understand that he likes them, but he's an analyst, not a coach there anymore, and he can't show that much bias. It is so annoying to hear him talk about them 24/7

@greymoose1000 You think I like Holtz? A friend of mine used to work with the football program. Told Lou that "this and this" was gonna happen if he didn't do "that and that". Lou didn't do "this", so "that" happened. And Lou looked at my friend and said "You set me up!" Only one of the many things I've heard of Lou Holtz. So just because I'm an ND fan doesn't mean I love our most famous HC. Just like you prolly aren't in love with all of USC's former HCs. And you spelled hypocrites wrong.

It’s weird when ppl try to make the argument ND doesn’t play anyone… every year they play the same teams give or take just a few. Stanford, USC, Michigan, Michigan St, Purdue, and then throwing in the occasional Oklahoma, Clemson, LSU, or Florida st & their strength of schedule is always ranked at least top 10 which is nothing to criticize. I’ll never understand it
