Hi Matt, happy new year to you and your family, I hope 2021 is the best year yet for you (: That Studebaker is magnificent I bet the owner will be wrapt to get it back and drive it I could imagine taking a leasurely drive here from my country estate in rural Western Australia down to visit mum (she is 94) and put her in the back and take her for a Sunday picnic. Ha , No ! lol . Super charger , maybe . But a turbo will get me kicked out of the vintage shows I do . I'm thinking an intake and a 4 barrel will be just fine for a driver . Happy New Year Jerry !! :)

It's getting close to that . I had to clean before going on . I couldn't take it anymore :)

It is a real shame that you cannot get the original gauges to work properly as they are really pretty. Good job otherwise as it looks really smart as it sits there in your workshop.

I know they can be repaired . But the cost of it might be better to locate a set of gauges that work . And even that's not really cheap when I poked around for them on the Web. And there are places ti send gauges to have them rebuilt . But for now, this will be just fine . And if we do get the orginal gauges going , I made it so the 3 pod comes out easily :)

For future reference: water-pump-rebuilders.com/index.html Also, I have "saved" a lot of old starters and generators and electrical switches with this stuff amzn.to/2X1jrN3 I spray it down till it's really soaked, let it drain out, dry thoroughly and do it again. If it's a rotary electrical switch, work it back and forth a bunch of times before you drain it. Then flush it with amzn.to/3hjQgOv, again work it back and forth a bunch of times and let it dry overnight. Still troublesome? Rinse and repeat.

Good tip for water pumps ! No amount of soaking was going to help me with the old switches. Someone already tried to move them, and damaged the contacts or bent the crap out of them .

Its a f150 5 spd . Late 80s to 95 ish. I know , I know . Dare to be different :)
