Game Review & Impressions

Typical shoot 'em up of the era which doesn't really do anything special and, if I'm honest, looks a little lacklustre in the visual department, especially compared to titles Taito and Irem were putting out at this point. The developers made a curious design decision to have the background music which plays linked to each of the different primary weapon types; each time it changes, so does the music.

Stage 3 is really cool how you are going up . One of the most amazing art level designs in any shooter
This game looks like a product that was rushed at the end. Most of the artwork is great, and they put a lot of effort in several things. However, there are no proper sprites when enemies get destroyed, in most cases they just disappear. The never leave an impact zone either. You would also say that some backgrounds were meant to be animated and have more scroll planes and, at the end, they remained static. The ending is also a bit on the sad side.

Horrible Music
It's finally over. The long borign war
This game is quite strange, I mean that if you pick up a different letter, different music is always played, but what if 2 players play, does the music play back together or only 1 plays the music
This game looks interesting 🤔 probably try it out
What does the bad ending look like?
don't know this game but seem original :) Gg
Why did Tecmo steal the Star Force branding from Hudson? They even used the same font for the title... If this was canon it would mean the series ended on a whimper...

You're thinking of Star Soldier. That's Hudon's vertical shooter series and it came 2 years after Star Force, which Tecmo (back when the company was known as Tehkan) made between the original 1984 arcade game and this one. All Hudson did was port the first arcade game to the MSX and Famicom as well as develop their Star Soldier series as a spiritual successor to Tecmo's Star Force.
