    So this is my argument as a classic weight on the bar guy. If nerves cant adapt much or fast at all, why would you focus on rate of force production. Power is FxD/T the best variable to attack is F.

    As I already commented on the other gentleman's comment, this is ONE video. One snapshot into one topic. For instance, I agree with you. That is why I train every athlete to touch on every major landmark across the force-velocity curve. In the matter of a micro cycle, we hit Max Strength, Strength Speed, Peak Power, and Max velocity. We lift heavy weight, we just use the principle of compensatory with all loads. As mechanical advantage increases, so should velocity!

    @qfformula sure, but when you say micro cycle, I think you are referring to more advanced athletes who recover on the 96 and up hours from a heavy workout. A guy who can recover every 48 to 75 needs to milk his linear progession in strength.
