What's with all the long streaks this season? Because of Matt Amodio, I was thinking about how rare it is for a player to win more than 5 games (or 10 games). So I was trying to guess or predict that we might not see another 10 game streak for a long time... and then along come all these streakers. Isn't Amy S the 4th player this season to reach 5 games? We may as well enjoy it while we can, because at any time we could get a long stretch with no one winning more than 2 or 3 games.

Well Done Amy. Fun to watch. Ken Jennings is by far the best new host of Jeopardy. I hope he becomes the new, permanent, host. I know that may require some lifestyle changes on his part but I hope he can find a way. Ken, I am a Canadian. I am sure Alex would approve!

The Hunchback of Notre-Dame is an iconic work of French literature, published in the 1830s (and set in 1480s Paris) by Victor Hugo. It was written specifically to preserve the Gothic architecture, such as Notre-Dame, in Paris at the time. Quasimodo, the protagonist, is a hunchbacked ringer of the famed bells at Notre-Dame. The work has been adapted into film many times, including a 1996 Disney animated film. Hugo was successful in his efforts in that Notre-Dame de Paris became a national icon in France; it is currently being reconstructed after a fire in 2019 made world headlines. Not only Amy has secured her 9th win, but more importantly, she is now in the Jeopardy! Hall of Fame! Her 9-day total ranks her #10 on the all-time list with regard to earnings in the regular season.

Second-highest 9-day total of all time -- 10k ahead of Austin, 32k ahead of Matt, 51k ahead of Ken.

My gut response was Hunchback, but in the back of my mind I was thinking "It could actually be Les Miserables". I could see someone going with the latter if they thought Hunchback was the too obvious trap.

Ken is a natural. Mayim seems too much like an actor playing a part, neuroscientist or not. Please keep Ken.

@@ConcertgoerJ.R. - I prefer Ken as the host as he much better at it and much more experienced in the nuisances of Trivia and the show as well as a producer and working with Alex. A professional actor is a bad fit for a Jeopardy host. A degree does not mean success or that you are really knowledgeable in your field of study. Some of the best software people don't have degrees at all.

Gah, can we not put the answer in the comments for the first few hours. Opened my notification and saw the correct response was top comment before the video even started playing.

I believe the original novel was released in France as "Notre-Dame de Paris," and then in the US, it became "The Hunchback of Notre Dame."

The only book I thought of was Hunchback of Notre Dame. Some of these I second guess because they seem so obvious

She's been in the top 10 by day since at least her third win (i'm not going through j-archive to see the totals for every 2-day winner) -- 9th-highest 3-day total of all time, 4th-highest 4-day total, 9th-highest 5-day total (the one time she got FJ wrong), 5th-highest 6-day total, 4th-highest 7-day total, 3rd-highest 8-day total, and now 2nd-highest 9-day total, second only to James. (and that's with 3, 4, and 5-day totals adjusted to current values)

Kim Jellings does really seem like a good host. Especially compared to Mayim. She seemed way less natural than Kim does.
