How much I love the Ghostbusters again.....I hope too meet them someday.....the old ones they still got it

According to TV Tropes this would be an example of "Did You Just Punch Out Cthulhu?"

The movie ended in traditional ghostbusters fashion: kicking ass!!! I have to admit it sort of dragged a little earlier on but it built up the story behind this movie. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t doze off lol. I really did. Then it woke me up and got my full undivided attention as we got closer to this scene. It was iconic from the previous movie when the Spanglers worked together controlling the particle stream thrower. Brought back memories of Egon and Phoebe…….

If they added 40 more minutes to the movie it could’ve been a lot better

We see the remaining OG Ghostbusters and the new ones battle against a god-like being. Having all these characters with a proton pack felt like overkill

Actually, man can create ice that is so cold that it extinguishes the heat of the fire before it gets close enough to cause the “ice” to melt. Then again, man has created nuclear bombs where the detonation zone is so hot that none of that matters. This thing was never a threat.

The first movie was great and now there just recycling the same stuff again and again just with different actors it’s the same movie five different times

I watched it at the movies and this was the best scene

yup I believe so, I think it won't get a sequel though because it failed at the box office unfortunately only just passing what it took to make (costed 144mil they made +220mil at box office) then again ghostbusters afterlife was a box office bomb and we still got this movie so I guess you never know.

This movie was total garabge from a-z. "I can't hold him much longer" with my match stick powers I just learned how to use. Goodbye hollywood......

It would’ve been more better if when Ray see what’s happening then says: “Look! He’s weakening! Now we can hit ‘um! GO!” Then all of them nails Garraka together… but yeah, the OGs working together to pull him into the basement was prime… “Golden years!” 👻😎

Is it just me, or do the ghostbusters have a habit of encountering ancient gods/demons all the time? Vigo, Garraka, that creature in the episode Ragnarok for the old cartoon, Gozer......twice, anyone seeing a pattern here? I mean, are they just that unlucky or did old Pete Venkman get on their bad side? Or do they want revenge for his part in Garfield? 😂😂

Its because otherwise it would be too convenient/ easy since they can relatively easily trap and hold most ghosts whereas these god/demons are so powerful their technology barely works if it even does at all which makes it interesting since they have to come up with creative ways to get rid of them.

I haven’t seen the movie, but if one dude was trying to attack him with a “Zippo” as the “fire master”, then he was basically looking for an opponent with a flamethrower?

***spoilers for G x K New Empire*** Shimo…easily. There were no man made tricks or devices that would have been able to stop Shimo. Godzilla and Kong didn’t stop Shims by beating her, rather they destroyed Skar King’s crytal and freed her from his control. If the villain from Ghostbusters encountered Godzilla he would have heard “wanh wanh wanh WANH WANH WANH” and as he noticed Godzilla’s scales lighting u, melted his own leg as the piss trickled down. It would have been a 5 second battle where the majority of the damage would come would come from Godzilla’s atomic breath. Also, remember Shino hit Godzilla with her breath and froze him…for 2 seconds before he just shattered the ice around him and shrugged off the attack. All of that being said, that would be a pretty amusing animated short.

it was just a modified proton pack she put brass on the copper coils which made it more powerful/effective against the Garraka since brass was one of its weaknesses.

Why didn’t they just want a few more months to make a better movie, it felt so rushed but the story is great

at least they stopped using an all female cast

Me too it was very forgettable had a beast ass backstory and lord for new villain just for him to get beat so easily

The whole ending felt totally rushed and poorly thought out! You have the entire canvas of New York City to serve as your final battle ground and you chose to end it in the garage of the firehouse? Even the posters were misleading, hinting at a show down in the frozen streets of manhattan. Also, the ghostbusters look idiotic fighting Garaka with weapons they know full well wont do a damn thing. Also...Phoebe melts down some brass in 5 minuets for her pack alone, when the entire team could have melted down the firemasters armor and used that in their packs? Then we get the whole flame effect that conviently just melts the ice but would have burned all of them alive! Plus the firemaster can control the proton streams, thus rendering Melody totally irrelevant! Their was no reason what so ever for her to be in the movie at all. Why and how would Garaka use Melody to unleash the ghosts...he's stuck in his orb. Its not like the orb is damaged and part of him gets out. Ghosts in the Ghost trap cant communicate let alone control other ghosts, why would this be any different. None of this made any sense in the slightest.

I stopped reading after the second sentence. You DO know that the final battle of the first movie took place on top of a rooftop, the second one ended in a Museum and the third ended at a farmhouse right? You DO know that posters are meant to get your attention and aren't a scene from the movie right?
