Street Fighter 4/5 story is before street fighter 3, so the game’s story is around mid 1990’s. Unlike Alpha series’s story is set between sf1 and sf2 so they are late 80’s early 90’s.

Cody is so cool,no matter whether he can win or lose.

It's really incredible how Capcom managed to maintain the (relatively) same core physics and gameplay throughout all the Street Fighter games, across decades of consoles.
