I was a little concerned about the post Hydaelyn-Zodiark saga story, then they dropped Cyberpunk in FF14 and planetary travel. I think we will be fine for the next 10 years. These people are actually crazy, the best kind of crazy.

I also just wanna say, Krile was happy in the trailer, and I'm super happy for her to not be possessed, hostage, imprisoned, sidelined, experimented on, ostricized from her scholarly compatriates, overworked keeping the souls of her friends tethered through comas, underappreciated, dunked on by the Lalafell hater union, having Zenos dougie on up to ask if he can munch on the mothercrystal to maybe, hopefully, possibly kill one of her friends, or being beaten in a footrace by Tataru down several flights of stairs. This shit's art therapy for her lmao.

I love how the trailer frames the MC's fight as something that went on all day while everyone else was wandering the town, eating food, flirting and sipping on drinks. Meanwhile the Warrior of Light is on round 12 or something with the nation's king in a dawn to dusk brawl.

I saw it mentioned briefly in your chat but at the very start of the keynote. Yoshi-P briefly talks about the earthquake in Japan at the start of the new year. He expressed his condolences to those lost and that those affected can rise from this and become stronger.

"Some of the civilizations in the reflections will surprise you." My money is that Solution Nine is something to do with the Ninth Reflection. As for heritage found, I wonder if that has something to do with the rejoined 12th reflection. That was the thunder calamity.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one thinking solution nine might be Terra. We'll probably run into a bunch of genomes and maybe even kuja being a villian.

After not even being included in the Endwalker key art poster, I'm honestly glad that Krile gets to showcase the Pictomancer job in Dawntrail. Yoshi-P kept true to his promise and gave her a bigger role for this upcoming expansion. Edit: Forgot to specify, but like what Emuney12 already mentioned, I was referring to the EW poster where both Zenos and Tataru were both included, but strangely not Krile. I honestly thought that her debut would've been with that battle with Estinien and the large lizard but what they did was even better: they gave her an entire solo portion of the trailer all to herself. I hope she makes Galuf proud.

@@TheOneGreat yea but check the Endwalker poster again, she's not there. She absolutely played a big part but was never featured on the official poster. Only heresay rumors on my end, so take it with a huge grain of salt, but the artist who made the Endwalker poster didn't include her due to miscommunications. Edit: turns out during a radio interview long ago, Yoshi-P himself made the miscommunication.

@@Emuney12 yeah I was gonna say that YoshiP has been asked by Krile's jp voice actress herself why Krile wasn't in the art in that radio interview lol he just simply forgot and I'm sure he felt bad about it.

You know how they've been pushing the 'reflection travelling' thing recently, and how Y'shtola in this trailer is looking at the Ronkan ruins and comparing them to Tural and seeing a similarity? I think those futuristic ruins are the creation of an advanced civilization on a different shard that learned how to traverse the rift and built things on the Source. Remember this is the first expansion of a brand new story arc. We set up this new reflection during Dawntrail and possibly travel there by 8.0? Emet-Selch also said the civilizations on some of the reflections would surprise us.

Given the name, Solution Nine (which is also the name of one of Zidane's Dyne attacks in FFIX), my current hypothesis is essentially what you're saying, but more specifically, that the Ninth is facing a crisis and someone there has plans to essentially usurp the Source in order to save the population of the Ninth. In other words, Terra from FFIX, but in FFXIV. lol

Super loved it, beyond excited. So happy for Krile that she found what she's great at, new jobs look amazing, songs sound amazing, Final Fantasy 2077 threw a left hook that got me even more excited beyond the standard expansion I was expecting. So happy.

We better at least fight a giant mechanical spider on that bridge. 44:22 I swear, it's the shopping area from Esthar. 1:06:20 Moon Restoration + Moon Housing when?!?!?!? 1:15:35 And they were roommates (ultimate) 1:33:50 The thing that's getting me is the eyes. They're looking so much smokier and intense with the new shader. 1:35:15 The lips blend in so much more naturally with the skin tone and mouth geometry. 1:35:55 Sharper definition makes for less pixel-y textures. They took perfection and just hit the "enhance" button. Also ears got a big boost in detail. 1:37:45 The eyes pop so much more. They're so bright! 1:39:10 The scales look so good now! But they also blend into the face geometry so much more naturally. The sharp eyes and lips also benefit a lot from the shader update. 1:40:17 Still feels a little puffy in the cheeks, but the eyes are so good. She no longer looks like she's been up for 48 hours without sleep. 1:43:18 Hairline is probably the most improved, but you can also get a bit of extra definition in the cheek fur. 1:44:05 The gear looks so good, and the ears are too! Viera noses seem to have lost a bit with the new shader though. Hopefully they refine it a bit so they still show off that button-y bunny nose quality. For what it's worth, I think it's just the shader softening the defining features rather than them having changed the noses too much. 2:01:08 The katakana for Xbr'aal is "Shyu ba raa ru", so the english will probably sound sorta like "Shuh-brawl"

I Fully endorse the use of "And They were Roommates (Ultimate)" and acronym ATWRU, instead of Futures Rewritten (Ultimate) and FRU. Though really, that's what people are gonna be Needing something easy to shout during Advanced Light's Relative Rampancy.

Dawntrail is on track to be the weirdest expansion and I think that is an incredible thing, and something the game could use right about now.

Some people have been translating the words on signs in Solution Nine and one of them says "Soul Supply"

I do very much wonder who built Solution 9. It looks like nothing we've seen so far, it doesnt look Allagan, it doesnt look Ancient, it doesnt look Loporrit, it doesnt look Omicron. Who built something THIS advanced without anyone else noticing???

If you interview Yoshi P, Jesse, I expect you to cosplay in Pictomancer gear.

Jesse, I've been watching since your Witcher 2 series way back when, and even probably before that. Recently I've felt nostalgic and wanted to re watch the W2 series. When the page loaded, I couldnt help but be so happy that you had finally broke the 1m subscriber line. You are no doubt one of my favorite personalities on this platform. Love the new part of the theme song towards the end where picto is revealed...Sokengod! Don't really love picto, but my daughter does, so she's going to play through DT as picto and I'm going to play viper. :) Was kinda surprised about hrothgals, figured that wouldn't come until after the graphics update...maybe more towards 8.0.

The ceruleum mining operation in the New World is a known factor Jesse! It features pretty prevalently in the BLU quest line.

The one thing I’m worried about is the A and B story style of this expansion. I had such whiplash in Stormblood going between Othard and Al Amigo

'puts tinfoil hat on' I'm wondering if Solution 9 is actually a colony of people from a different planet, much like how Midy found our world and settled here. Maybe another world on the brink of destruction sent out 'colony ships' to as many worlds as they found that could be compatible and it was the 9th ship that found ours. (Kinda like how the moon was gonna be used as a colony ship to travel to other worlds to try and find a safe one)

Those graphics upgrades are so nice like it's really awesome work.

The description of the land snear Solution 9/Heritage Found reminds me of the Second Umbral Calamity. The sky was covered in black clouds and people were forced to live underground as levin bolts struck the land constantly for a full year and a day. While the land near S9/HF is described as having thick clouds that block out the sun and being in a constant levin storm. (48:24, bottom description).

It also reminds me of that one region in FFX/FFX-2. Thunder Plains? Given the beast tribe from X, the Pelupelu, are showing up, maybe there will be more nods towards FFX?

My theory for the future city, its a civilization from one of the other shards that managed to figure out cross realm travel. If it is the case, then it would give a reason for Yshtola to be interested in what is going on here. the future tech can be explained by the fact that that world wouldn't have been affected by calamities, so it could have kept growing the entire time, PLUS it would check off another of Emet's final words. Specifically the part about how the civilizations on some of the shards would surprise us.

Cerulean deposits was a part of the Blue mage job quest, the Walaquee tribe lived near a location full of Ceruleum that another npc wanted to extract, but the Walaquee held the location sacred

Funny you should mention Mhachi, I was doing the RDM level 70 quest and just before the end of it you come out on a vista that if you look up has a pyramid decorated with the same glyphs as you see in the art of Solution 9.

The solution nine area gave me Shinra Mako Energy vibes and one of the images (Heritage Found) has what looks like a reactor in the background. As we recall, Mako was the liquid form of the planets lifestream.

regarding gx update: i cant overstate how well they updated the ear cartilage and fold placement.

I think you did a video like this a million years ago but an updated "here's the story stuff you should play before this expansion" would be awesome, for those of us who haven't been playing all the way through.

We are a shard of Azem but there could be a shard that was elevated like Fandaniel or lesser Asians were.

This expansion is the only thing really keeping me going...ok a few others too! Super hyped, Krile a FF5 character using an FF6 job, finally she gets to fight too!

Pictomancer feels like its opening the option for a Splatoon crossover in Golden Saucer and I would be so here for it.

The more I look at the symbol in the Arcadion artwork, the more it looks like a combination of Elidibus, Emet-Selch and Lahabrea's Ascian sigils. When Lahabrea and Igeyorhm fused together, their sigils fused, as well. It's certainly something to chew on.

I thought the symbol looks like Emmerololth. It has the two horns, the funny hat with stuff coming out of it, big face, and the two hands that have three fingers waving at you. And if you look very closely, it looks like there are some dotes in the neck area. There is also the lines at the bottom that look like the platform under the hands.

Ceruleum extraction in the new world is a major plot point in the BLU lvl 50 quests, if there's no recognition if we've done BLU I'll be mad

Fun fact: the model for the job was Krile's JP voice actor!

A neat resurrection idea for pictomancer could be making your character model look painted during the brief invincibility phase, quickly solidifying. Missed opportunity.

The slide for Heritage Found gives me alternate timeline FF7 vibes. A train under a floating city that's far more advanced than what's observed on the surface? Jenova raid when?

Solution Nine is exciting. Since Solution 9 is one of Zidane's strongest Trance abilities, I'm hoping there's a bit of FF9 influence on the area (Terran perhaps), and it's not just a name reference. We've already got the Viper job as a pseudo-reference to Zidane as well. I'm here for it if that's the case.

I was sort of hoping that we'd see some more cities on the western continent, like we have with Aldenard/Othard. Maybe in the areas covered by the clouds north and south 🤔

I watched this live and it made me super hype, but rewatching it, the final trailer's Krile part revealing the new job along with the gorgeous music almost made me cry. Lil lady has come so far.

Cosmic Exploration reminds me of the Ishgard revival content for crafters.

The writing in Solution 9 is ancient (same as Lopporitts). Also one of the directional texts apparently says "soul supply".

Sounds like an FF9 Terra/Bran Bal reference, the Genomes are soulless husks and they have soul chambers. Solution 9 is also one of Zidane's dyne abilities (animation even uses old Terran glyphs). Viper is inspired partly from Zidane, to the point I believe the CE weapon glam will be his Mage Mashers. 'Heritage Found' that is right next to Solution Nine is basically explaining Zidane's story in IX. Even kinda looks like Madain Sari. Female Hrothgar are added, in IX there is a female Lion summon (Maduin) that hides as a Mog.
