I want to kill Chaos. Literally kill Chaos. No other character can come close to relating to how much I want to kill Chaos. There is no way you can convince me not to kill Chaos. Killing Chaos could not possibly be anymore me. I want to kill Chaos, and nobody can convince me otherwise. If anyone approached me on the topic of not killing Chaos, then I immediately shut them down with overwhelming evidence that I want to kill Chaos. I want to kill Chaos, it is indisputable. Why anyone would try to argue that I shouldn't kill Chaos is beyond me. If you held two pictures of me and killing Chaos side by side, you'd see no difference. I can safely think of killing Chaos every day and say "Yup, that's me". I can practically see killing Chaos every time I look at myself in the mirror. I go outside and people stop me to comment how much I want to kill Chaos. I chuckle softly as I'm assured everyday that I want to kill Chaos in every way. This was like reconnecting with an old friend years after beating it on NES and GBA. The final paragraphs of the epilogue (starting with "Remember always...") are some of my favorite gaming lines ever.

When Chaos memes are overused:

Cool they kept Chaos' theme that was NOT in the original. I loved this final boss theme since dawn of souls

Monk/Master: the most broken job in this game, in any version

You had a much easier time than I did. The first part of the fight went a lot like how yours did, but at one point he used curuja followed by haste. Couldn't dispel haste, and he started one shooting my guys. I was lucky enough to have a couple of Stat boosting drinks that I bought for no real reason earlier. It let me raise my white mages hp and my warriors hp and def high enough to where be couldn't one shot them. Then I kept my ninja and black mage alive, they were in charge of buffing, using items (feeding ethers to my white mage), and dealing chip damage where they could. Managed to squeeze out a win.

Finally killed Chaos using haste on knight and then temper temper temper temper temper temper temper temper.

There is no bonus dungeon on Pixel Remaster version.

Kind of. I barely managed to eek by with a Warrior, Thief, Red Mage, Black Mage party. Lacking the Heal line of spells will make this fight incredibly difficult.

Oof. Try out using the heal helms/healing staffs to help mitigate some dmg. White robe let's anyone use Invisira. Giants gloves will let you temper your highest dmg character and finally, haste your damage dealer and keep that guy alive no matter what! You can do it!

Go to the guy in the oasis who sold you the fairy, he have OP potions and you can stack haste and temper effects x2 in one turn if you have ninja and black/red mage.

is it just me or chaos's damages kinda blows in this version? Except for hp, his stats seems similar to the ps1 version, only cyclone looks remotely dangerous. The font isn't that much of a problem for me, personally, I just don't like the amount of empty space there is on the screen in battle, ennemies, but especially bosses could've got some bigger unique sprites (making the fiends so tiny was kinda cringe), the sheer absence of bonus dungeon/optional bosses is also kind of a bummer considering how weak the final boss is. The overworld design is great though and the rearranged soundtrack is straight up amazing

I bought some OP potions to the guy on the desert, and chaos was obliterated.

Soz... Honestly I don't know if I care to finish this... I got to the point right before the battle starts and it froze on me. Steam version... I had about 4 or 5 levels in the dungeon... My soul can't do it again, so I'll just watch you do it and call it a fookin day. LoL

This is the one battle I need protect and heal and I never bothered to get those for the white mage because I was able to sleepwalk through the entire game. Kinda funny how they stopped using the less “Super Deformed” look of the original characters. Everyone has a determined steely gaze, like they’re tired of all this crap.

Well I must say I'm kind of disappointed here I thought this game would be more based on the PlayStation Origins version seeing Chaos with 20k hp instead of 4k and the difficulty seems to be much easier like on par with the GBA versions but regardless of that I'm looking forward to playing all of these again.

@@radicaldreamer927 I already said in my comment he had 20k hp not 4k. GBA ver is 20k, ps1 ver is 4k and nes ver is 2k hp for Chaos. The reason I mentioned this is the GBA version in which Chaos has 20k is much easier than the NES or PS1 Origins version.

@@3nderoxii615 Ah, gotcha. My bad. On that note then, a question: why be disappointed with a boss that won’t die in 4 or 5 turns from a team of a warrior, monk, and masamune’d red mage? Seems pretty strange. In my opinion a 4K hp Chaos would be far too easy, and over far too quickly.

@@radicaldreamer927 It's all good, and it's because even with only only 4k hp he didn't die that fast the PS1 origins version they were balanced differently than the newer versions and bosses even with lower HP they were actually kind of hard etc the four friends on those versions weren't completely pushovers like in the GBA/PSP. It's kind of difficult to explain the differences without experiencing it yourself if you know how to use emulators I'd go play the PS1 origins and GBA/PSP and compare them yourself but I can't blame you if you don't want to.

@@3nderoxii615 After playing the original nes version, ps1 origins, and the pixel remaster, I like the pixel remaster the most, currently playing through ff2 to see which one i like the most.

Thank you so much for posting this video. I've been waiting all day to see what Chaos looked like in the Pixel Remaster. Super disappointed that they just reused the PS1/WS sprite and recolored it. I was hoping that they would either use the PSP one or redo it completely. Also he looks oddly small.

i would say this if you have this game on other media you don't need to buy these remasters However for newcomers i would highly recommend the pixel remasters over the ports that they have done in the past . however if the ports bother you a lot witch i know some people they do i would buy these instead.

it doesn't. I used protera on the party, and then haste and temper once on each melee fighter. any time I opened the buff window after that was to check the buff list to see if anything had worn off.

Hm I dunno I think I prefer the Dawn of Souls style. This is decent but, it looks off somehow.

Admittedly, originsl Chaos had 2k hp but I dont see him using Crack and instantly wiping half your party either.

late game there isn't much left to buy at shops, and enemies start dropping lots of gil. so it just accumulates in large amounts towards the end of the game

yah, red's using masamune. I was gonna give it to the knight, but red can't equip excalibur and i didn't want to leave that weapon collecting dust in the inventory and I didn't find anything else suitable for red to use

When I played this as a kid in the late 80s this is how that battle went... Chaos uses tail or tail whip. Slain Slain Slain Unaffected lol. Bastard. Tried fighting him many times. Never won. Just getting to him was worse than the fight itself.

other than the quality of life additions it looks like the PSP version is better.

Depend the GBA/PSP are complete breeze to complete and completly change the core gameplay and character balance, and to be honnest the bonus dungeons of GBA versions of these games are just lazy as hell. IMO if you want the original FFI experience as it was originnaly intended the best version is the PS1 version.

The music update is nice, but the pixel art feels like a downgrade compared to other versions even the nes ones.

I love sprites but my god do these sprites look ugly!

It makes sense specially in the PS1 version. Garland started the timeloop with the help of the darkside of the Crystals life force. You killed Garland-Chaos and ended the timeloop and restored the Crystals power to a balanced state.

This looks oring as fuck, you can't even lose.
