It's an incredible sensation when you're playing a game that you've held high expectations for, and yet they somehow exceed even that. I fucking love this remake.

@chrisutubeism If they had crammed FF7's entire story into one single remake it might have came out as a disaster. Don't forget that they can now elaborate and expand on so much stuff that we barely got to see in the OG game.

@chrisutubeism It IS a good game sir. Just because it wasn't the entire story line doesn't mean it "could" have been good. The way the story was written has divided a lot of fans, understandably, but that still didn't make the game bad. I also don't know how they could have fit the entire original game into a single game with today's standard game design without having to remove a lot of content from the original game. The Midgar section story alone was over 100gb big. I loved this game, I had more fun with the Remake than the original. I give it 9/10 easy.

I often find myself having to 'fix' the sounds in a game - unless it is a real time multiplayer game where the sound effects are critical they should always be turned right down in favour of the music and vocals

I won't lie, even though Airbuster was such a pushover in the first game, the hype behind him in this game got my suspense going...and damn it didn't disappoint. One hell of a boss battle!

As a tank main in FF14, you have no idea the panic the surged through me when I saw it had an attack called 'tankbuster'

This is exactly what boss fights looked like in our minds to those who played it back in 97. Oh fucking christ i need part 2 to this remake now. The airbuster back then was a fairly unimpressive fight compared to some of the shit later on, so if this what they can do with the airbuster... oh god i'm not ready.

I knew I wasn’t the only one!! That + the battle theme really gave a new level of intensity to this fight. Not just your standard button-pressing turned-based fight, it really felt like you were fighting for you life.

This game is my first experience with ff7 and the build up to this boss fight I was expecting a pretty big arena to fight in. Needles to say the tight area with the badass soundtrack was so much better. Do intense and engaging, loving the game so much

I swear soon as that battle starts and the guitar kicks in I get goose bumps every time. Music for ff7 still to this day is unmatched.

yes its perfect, a huge final fantasy fan here but i hated the turn based system but i love this new combat system, also i thought ff7 was over rated once you beat it, the experience is done but with the remake they put new life into it the world seems bigger now than it was in ff7 also i was probably 10 when i got my copy of og ff7 and ff7 was my first ever final fantasy game

This fight was awesome due to the build-up of the boss, they first introduce it like some sort of super machine and then proceed to alter its behavior and weaken it. Then when you finally fight it, you hear this awesome music. HYPE.

At 8:30 you hear cloud say “let’s do this” to the airbuster just as the guitar lead kicks in… so powerful!! One of the best boss battles ever

I legit just fought this fight. This fight was fucking insane. The strategies, the timing, the intensity. My heart was beating like crazy!

I'm so glad I saved right before this fight. After I beat it, I just went back and played it a few more times just because of HOW AWESOME IT WAS

Never get bored of this battle system or the music. The game is so engaging. I remember when I first started I felt overwhelmed at first. Lol.

When ‘Fight On’ started, I nearly lost my shit. Such an awesome soundtrack for this game.

You know the boss is gonna be one hell of a fight when you spend an entire chapter building up to it.

The build up to this fight followed by the classic boss theme was just absolutely epic

Played this battle last night. Definitely playing it again tonight. My neighbors can kiss my ass. That soundtrack did something to me 🙌🏽

I love all the build up this boss fight gets, almost like a box fight, that's why it feels so epic, add the music and you get one of the best boss fights of the year, and in the top 10 of the ps4 era

This game blew all my expectations out of the water. And they were high.

what an incredible fight this was, I won't lie when I say it took me a few tries but once I realised my strategy I smashed it and it FELT SO GOOD! This game is incredible, I can't wait to see what else it holds for me as a first time player

Doing this on hard mode with leviathan is the coolest experience ever. The Leviathan will rise up from the different like gaps around the pathway. that along with the airbuster itself and the view of the Shinra Tower is amazing

Gosh darn it, this fight gave me goosebumps. Even watching someone else fight it I still get goosebumps!

This could legit be the final boss in any other game

Air Buster was one hell of a fight in Remake. That was a fun time.

Couldn't decide which strategy was the best. I tried slowing the thing down massively, disarming it either way, or well rounding, no matter what, this boss was hard as shit lol

I never played FFVII OG but just watched my older brother play I was 6 or 7 idk once the theme kicked in I got the chills, memories.

If they made Airbuster such a damn good fight here, just imagine Diamond Weapon boss fight!

Awesome mech battle. The song fits so great.

This boss fight is more epic than I imagined, even after seeing Guard Scorpion. The game builds up hype about Air Buster and actually delivered this in fight. Shinra guys aren's silly at all when they say it's a death sentence.

All characters are level 18 on my game. About to fight him

This boss fight is right up there with going back to Shadow Moses in MGS4 and playing Spidey PS4 for the first time for me. I was 8 years old again when the music kicks in. Playing and switching characters when that dual guitar and choir comes in was incredible. Why I love video games. Rebirth too is incredible, in all its mini game glory 😏

I can't believe no-one has uploaded this music WITH the cutscene before it... (EDIT: Found it! The cutscene music is called Eyes of a SOLDIER, in the Plus soundtrack)

I am so glad they added chapter select, I've done that with the original, and not knowing it had it until I beat it. I have a shit load of saves that I can't delete because it's save data is combined.

Imma just say something that may be insanely useful. So if you use Tifa’s whirling uppercut, you can combo it with dive kick

i like how the boss has padding underneath, nice detail

I had a really close call as all party members were very low health along with the boss. Kept having to lob cure items and healing magic for one final push to win. Very intense and I thought the scorpion boss was nuts. I’d hate to see this boss if it were at full power.

not all soundtracks was done as good as the original but this one was amazing!!! good music is what makes the games that you cannot forget i have been thinking this about a lot... its subconcial but so it does

The fight is even more hilarious at the last phase because it literally turns into a Zeong once it ditches the hovercraft and starts flying

The standout moment in the game for me. This is final fantasy 7.

All games need to take notes from final fantasy 7 well thought out epic boss fights.

I bought the base disc version. It didn't come with extra summons. I just beat the airbuster (I know I'm late to the party). He was pretty tough on normal mode. I stocked up on hi-potions and phoenix downs. I was almost out of resources when he finally went down. Every new scene is such an experience. 9.9/10 from just playing the first few hours.

When that Boss theme kicked in, I literally screamed: "Let's Go"!!!!

Reminds me of the Zeong Gundam from the original Mobile Suit Gundam .

seems like Barret who the most make sense to fight this boss

Barret is one of my favorite characters ever.

With all this heavy weaponry, paramilitary forces, and global domination, I’m starting to see parallels between the Shinra Electric Power Company and the British East India Company. The comparisons are there.

Im so hyped for this fight on pc on 16 december.

When the OG bosstheme kicked in here for the first time I knew "ok, this is a masterpiece". The build up was so well done and this fight was clearly the first climax this game went for.

I don't think all SOLDIERs have it, but many SOLDIERs can have it. I imagine all those SOLDIERs who mass deserted with Genesis (and became his copies) only followed him because they too were degrading and wanted a cure.

They really didn't have to go all the way for the fckin AIRBUSTER, who was, in fact, only just the *second* boss of the game. But they did. And man, was it nasty. Also I don't know about you guys, but that soundtrack just got me all riled up for no reason

Just make sure to heal when you get about halfway from full health, I’m usually good after that.

I took all but one of its bombs and left it with two AI cores. After one bomb went off I was glad I took the rest. Also gave it one back. Pay it forward and everything.

This battle system is absolute perfection!! 😮😮😮❤🎉

I really sh*t on the remake without playing it due to the battle changes. I gave it a go (PS Plus) and almost fell out of my seat when I heard this music. Bravo!

It looks like the Airbuster's mobility was significantly reduced, with it's Big Bomber shells and it's M-Upgrades still intact.

This boss fight is so tense that they actually allow you to damage one of its capabilities; either bombs or AI can be weakened in a previous chapter. Even with this nerf, you are still in for an awesome fight.

Getting this masterpiece for free with PS PLUS is a masterful way to begin this year

This game is cool, I promise!!

FF7 Remake has some of the most fun boss fights of any game I've ever played.

Jesus the sequels are gonna be siiiiiiick. 😁
