I hope it is time for Clive Rosefield from Final Fantasy XVI to Dissidia Final Fantasy for PS5. Let's hope we get a new generation for Final Fantasy XVII.

I read the ending and people said Clive was alive, after watching it by myself its so clear that he died for good. Jill just smiles because of what he left after dying that is a free world and the sunset represents that.

No that's sunrise. Aka dawn which Jill in game describes as Clive always coming back to her. Clive had no injuries besides stone arm, same as Cid and he was fine as long as he stopped using magic.

He is alive. Just fainted due to too much of his power leaving him with a petrified hand and in the same state as Cid. His fate is hinted in the Moongazing lyrics - an official song for the game. Summarized - Metia granted Jill her wish of Clive reuniting with her. And in the post credits scene, the children are hinted to be his descendants.

It seems like he had died but the moongazing lyrics that plays during that part of the game pretty much confirms he is alive. It literally talks about a girl looking for her liver and finding him.

They really went full Asura's Wrath in this boss fight and I love it!

The exact first thing that came to my mind/Asura’s Wrath is one of my fav games of all time. I said, this is so like that last battle in soooo many ways. What I wouldn’t give to wish that would’ve been a game that never came out till now on the PS5. That would’ve broken the internet. Cheers.

Too noisy, too mashy, too asura. I dont like this as a final boss fight. All kind of strategizing and brain power is out of the window, just all spectacles. Better as a movie.

I know we've had so many games where we kill God at the end... But this is the MOST BADASS PRESENTATION OF GOD-KILLING I'VE EVER WITNESSED IN MEDIA, and no one will tell me otherwise!

After the grave disappointment of FFXV I must say this BEAUTIFULLY CHOREOGRAPHED END BATTLE where we fight Sephiroth's Mom, Jeno - I mean his dad, Ultima. All jest side, this game has brought Final Fantasy on the main seller chart again. You can see each character crafted with care and love unlike Noctis and his gang, who definitely feel like a rush job from development hell, THIS game is a MASTERPIECE, they brought all the pieces TOGETHER! CONGRATULATIONS FINAL FANTASY XVI FOR SAVING THE FRANCHISE ♥

For people who are confused about the fate of Clive, If you remember the final scene between Clive and Jill at the flower field, Jill says, "I realized that no matter how terrible the night... dawn would always come. That you would always come for me. And you have. Again and again". This scene along with the praying to Metia, you can analyze that Clive eventually safely returned to Jill. Yoshi P just doesn't put stuff in the game for no reason. Everything is there for a reason as he has said.

@@darthacez yeah Moongazing Lyrics is obviously for Clive fate. He is alive and return to Jill.

I don't think Clive died tbh. The symbolism behind the dawn always returning is associated with Jill knowing he'll always come back to her and he doesn't have any injuries on his body aside from a stone hand that doesn't even spread across his body.

@@ggmasterguiltygear6315 Nah dude. There's literally a late-game scene that has Jill compare Clive to the rising sun. The last scene is Jill looking out at the ocean with the sun rising in the distance. It's pretty telling imo. If Clive were meant to be dead they wouldn't have just had his arm turn to stone it would've disintegrated his whole body.

Clives whole development is about learning to love himself and have a better life he said no more breaking promises since then all of them were genuineness he promised he would always come back to jill breaking the promises would break his entire development in the game He's obviously alive

@@Mrdeathxv the story teller didn’t confirmed it. They may leave it open ended but there are hints that he lived in the end especially with the narration starting with him and ending with him. The dawn rising represents Metia giving Jill her wish of reuniting with Clive. Also listen to Moongazing lyrics.

new final fantasy always ends the same way its fine but woes to a series changing so much up til 11 it never really changed that greatly no matter what ppl say now

All these people theorizing about what happened to Clive lol. Lets be real, Squeenix has a long history of leaving loose ends in the mainline FF entries especifically for people to make their own headcanon. They rarely like to commit with one ending and why do so when you can keep people breaking their heads theorizing about the game for months or years until a DLC or movie comes out 😂 I still remember back when I played 7 a million years ago and how obtuse and non conclusive the ending was and how people theorized for almost a decade until Advent Children came out.

So, the final boss has just casted: Flare, Ultima and Meteor. Well, I hope the modding community manages to make mods possible when the game comes out on pc. Making Clive cast those spells will be my main goal.

The bright lights are really obnoxious in the final boss fight, all that visual noise makes it really hard to see.

A lot of the later fights as Ifrit play similarly as Clive, arena battles at a larger scale, with some QTE.

I don't get how Ultimalius has _less_ health than Ultima Risen

@@Juansetheunknown Since the book is written by Josha, I think the story is canon. He would find some way to write his journey just before he died, then the book get pass on, years later, to the world without magic. I think that should explain it, if you to prefer the story is to be canon.

I think clive death at last he use all power but before him destroy the crystal core he use power that's him take from ultima Prime Heal/Resurrect Joshua back I think maybe joshua write they saga in that book I think clive and joshua they reborn be brother again in next lives [black hair children is clive and brond is joshua] sry for my english hope you understode what I reply :)
