Correct me, if I'm wrong, the change for two button consolidation is to separate the buttons the replaces the original button press. In essence, it's an option to CREATE more button bloat.

Not button bloat but skill bloat. My lvl 90 Samurai needs to use 7 different skills (-> 7 buttons) for max single target combo. With automatic replacement I would only need 4 buttons to do same combos. That means I can move 3 skills to better slots in my hotbar. For me that big. And in theory they could bloat up those combos with 10-20 skills more without me needing to lose any hotbar slots for them.

@@jariolavilipponen3500 This. And also, for SAM and some others, you *always* want to use them in sequence. For NPC versions of Samurai spec from Duties in ShB/EW, they've used this button replacement technique, and I was honestly disappointed when I went back to the "Real" version.

This is something that will allow for more skills in the long run too, I’ve been hoping they’d do this because I’ve been frustrated with the skill pruning that would happen each expansion

Definitely love to hear what you think they’re going to be doing with smn. I don’t like the direction they’re going with the class atm but again I think it might also push smn in a direction where the class feels empty button-wise but enables them to add to the rotation over the next ten years. I like to feel busy when playing and removing dots on smn and positionals on dragoon works against that mentality. I’ve been on holiday in Florida so haven’t seen the full liveletter yet so have only seen small snippets online. Kinda have a glass half empty view so far but the new classes look really fun. Picto looks like it may be my new main caster

SE didn't really add anything to the classes or even really change anything, it just looks like they kinda gave up.

The classes didn’t seem to have an oh wow moment, I agree but then I also wonder how much of that was the SMN change from last time

I want to feel in awe, but I wasn't impressed with a lot of the stuff.

Nice to see you with your winter hat off. The winter hat in a house makes me feel uncomfortable. Got to let that head breathe :)
