When I first got my own set and was impressed by how amazing they are for the price I was hoping Ashens would get his hands on them. If anyone could appreciate these it's him and this video didn't not disappoint!

As someone who grew up with most of my toys coming from dollar tree, I would have absolutely loved these. I hope some kids out there are having a great time playing with these

Granted, where I've encountered it the most (games published by Avalon Hill/WOTC) is a market they don't seem too concerned about (they release like maybe 1 new game or remake a year at the very least)

How amazing would these be to a parent with limited means. For $10 your child could have a large assortment of figures and accessories. Very impressive value.

We're also getting in wave 2 a human in purple with a hood and blades on his arms, the robot dog, a Mech Warrior-looking bot, and another Kharn, plus probably more weapon packs. I imagine that guy that disappeared from the cartoon will also get a figure.

Man! When i went to the dollar store as a kid the best you could hope for was some proprietary sized ninja figure that broke into razor sharp shards in .1 femtoseconds after prying it from it’s cardboard, which in and of itself was struggle due to the 200 twisty ties that binded the two!

Its probably the best way for kids to start an army builder, which is something I, and many other kids couldn’t do. With the villains being only a little over a dollar, they can get a couple to really add the play value.

I'm the only comment (and it was posted in November) and I said that it was awesome for the wrong reasons, but also bad for the obvious reasons. It looks like it was made 20 years ago, optimistically; but for what it is, I'd say it's pretty good. The second episode is a 35 second short. Super-cringe-inducing, but if I was like 8 and this was 1995, I'd be all over it! LOL :-D

Here in the uk there are 3 sales tax rates (VAT) on goods and services. 0% for essentials ie food and kids clothes etc 5% on services like home energy and 20% on non-essential items, basically everything from toys to TVs. The upper rate crept up and up over the years but it is very high now 😡

@@spencers4121 Indiana has 7% on almost everything, except for most types of food. Junk food and Fast food does have Sales Tax but if a junk food item has enough nutritional value or enough of certain ingredients it will not be taxed. Kit-Kats and Twizzlers are not taxed for example.

Here in Florida most food and medicine isn’t taxed, and state and local taxes come to 6.0 to 7.0% on other things, typically. 6.5% where I live.

@@prh99That's true, though foreigners wouldn't know Chicago has a city tax that stacks on top of Illinois' state tax which is why it's so high

It's so strange seeing Stuart praising dollar store figures. It put a smile on my face.

They look so fun and they're so affordable I'm upset I'm not a child anymore to appreciate them properly

Every Dollar Tree is different and many figures you could find at one, you won’t find at others. I’m obsessed with Dollar Tree. 7.5% sales tax where I live.

Some get every General Mills cereal that fails test-marketing or otherwise doesn’t sell. Box sizes range from under 10 ounces to 24 or more, expiration dates a few months in the future, and of course they’re $1. I buy them to give away. I don’t know if people will be happy to get 24 ounces of Fruity Lucky Charms...

Man, if only Dollar Tree had these when I was little. 80% of the toys I had growing up came from Dollar Tree.

There’s a guy who customises these toys to make them look better, I can’t remember his channel name but shouldn’t be hard to find

Well, now I have to see if I can find the Heavy Arms set. I swear, I spent WEEKS checking Dollar Trees to try and get a full set, and I still managed to miss stuff.

Specialist Shift....in my neck of the woods in Ireland, 'Shift' means getting off with someone-I suppose that's fairly specialist. 😛

Wow this is actually one of the best toy lines I’ve ever seen just because of the high quality and creative figures for a dollar$ and they’re getting two more series? WITH VEHICLES ALSO FOR A DOLLAR?!

The 2 hand guns are obviously a homage to Dante's Ebony and Ivory. I love this line!

Only Ashens can keep me riveted to the screen for 41 minutes. Also, besides getting the figures you're getting a back story for the characters and their war. That alone is worth tons.

Every time he picked up the synthoid I imagined Airman and the old megaman boss theme.

I love the way the animated snapshot of the video when hovering over the video is your eternal struggle to open the package.

You know the whole modular things kinda make sense if you buy a weapon pack and all characters from x can use it even new ones down the line such as the synthoids and such

The company said they planned to release a vehicle called the Arrow ATV.

man, Ruck and that robot totally have bootleg Gundam feet, it's the same shape, same ankle guard, and knee armour as a few 90's gundam designs lol god the way Ashens says gundam fills me with rage

I find it funny that I have a Dollar Tree five minutes from my front door, and have probably walked right past these action figures and didn't even give them a second glance. And yet if Ashens lived here in the states, he'd probably freak out over Dollar General and Dollar Tree stores we have here. Just because of all the new and novel tat he's never seen. :)

that's actually amazing, they clearly put a lot of thought into the characters and even the weapons. The finger through the gun trigger also impressed me.

In case you didn’t actually know, Specialist is an enlisted rank in the US Army. Also, Sergeant Steel’s jet pack is upside-down.

In my state there is no sales tax, its super nice and it confuses me that other states dont include it in the price.

OMG I bought the synthoid thinking it was just cool as hell looking. It is literally on my shelf above my screen right now with the add-on gun things for the back pegs!

First thing I basically always do is check the runtime of these. Over 40 minutes makes me a happy little Cheapskate. Can't wait till Urinevision 2021 & we get Pel & Auli & Ashens all together again. I miss Barshens.

@@fireandcopper nah, it won't, at least not the way it was. Bars was a little bit kinda why they switched formats. It seems pretty clear he's not exactly, uh, a Cheapskate himself, and would definitely probably cut off any, say, Off Brand Brand Off that may arise, for instance. I am writing this with voice to text because I gave Slepp all my bones years ago (plus a few that weren't mine) by the way...

I bought two of each of the villains a few months back and they look pretty great next to some Star Trek figures. The arms popping out caught me off guard but I like how a kid could create his own alien creature if he wanted to.

Ashens! Look for Star Troopers Giant Bug Battle figures from Lanard. Smythe's is one of the only places I've seen has them in stock.

Saw these last week and thought you would cover them. Amazing!

These are the best $1 action figures I’d ever seen and own the whole range and was REALLY HOPING these would show up here one day.

It depends on the state, in Indiana it would be $1.07 with tax. Most states have sales taxes under 10%

This is my personal favorite video you have ever made, it’s so good in my opinion!

I've been flip floping on these, but now I think I need the whole set. The weapons packs really do complete the look.

I bought this whole set, thinking of Ashens the entire time.

I've seen some of these at my local Dollar Tree in Tacoma. I wanted to buy the Shift figure, but just haven't yet. I didn't realize the creators were doing a cartoon as well. I wish Cheetahmen had this much success.

I have no clue what Super7's smoking that's making them think that they can get away with selling retro 5POA figures for $20 a piece when companies like Jazwares are putting out fully articulated, well-detailed 3.75" Halo figures for half the price.

@@NoahR_ Indeed. Across the board they put out a lot of overpriced stuff. They took over the MOTUC license for a while and they were charging twice as much for straight repaints of the figures Mattel produced. And now they've got 1/12 scale TMNT figures for $55 when companies like NECA and Hasbro are still producing similarly sized figures in the $20-25 range. It's absurd, and when you try to call them out on it people bring up that it's a smaller production run. All well and good, but if the quality's no better than one of the $25 figures on the market, guess which line I'm going to gravitate towards.
