The end of Kate McKinnon’s run on the show hits hard, despite knowing she would eventually leave SNL someday. She is probably my all time favorite cast member and it won’t be the same without her. I wish her the best in wherever she’s headed next.

Some actors know when they should move on. It's not when their act becomes stale but when they are still beloved and at the top of their game. Thank you both Aidy and Kate for so many great memories watching your characters! I am sure you will be just as great wherever you go next!

You can see the tears in her eyes she was an amazing edition to snl and is iconic and will always be one of my favorite snl ladies

The moment she turned back around, I felt that imminence. Saying goodbye for the final time. There’s a certain sting that comes along with the feeling of “this made me happy, but it’s my time to say goodbye”that will always be difficult to describe. But that face, made it crystal clear. Thank you so much, Kate.

That last part got me teary-eyed. There will never be another like Kate McKinnon, she was a whole package and more.

Didn't realize she was leaving. I've always dreaded this day, Kate is a legend and one of my favorites ever. Can't wait to see what she's got for us next

Her tragic alien abduction stories make me laugh every time, no matter how many times I re-watch it.

Had to come back here after Cecily’s last show…it’s still so bittersweet to me.

Crying. This skit is classic. Kate will be so missed and I hope she knows how loved she is. Her timing, delivery, commitment to her characters has brought such a richness to SNL. I miss her already!

I didn' even know she was leaving... Not gonna lie, my heart sunk to my stomach when I saw her tearing up. She's a great actress with a fantastic sense of humor and I just know that whatever she does will be amazing. It's sad to see her go, but she's going to do more great things.

Tonight was the final episode for Kate McKinnon, Pete Davidson, Kyle Mooney, and Aidy Bryant.

"Well Earth, I love ya, thanks for letting me stay a while." Those words hit me harder than I expected.

😂😂😂 I was dead when Kate McKinnon asked "Why clean house when nobody's comin' over, right?" 😂🤣🤣 As funny as that was though, her exit made me cry. 😢 She was one of my favorites on SNL. ❤️

The pure emotion at the end... you can truly tell she put her heart and soul into SNL and that's why she will be one of the greatest to ever be apart of it. Thank you so much.

My humor is very similar to hers, and it’s always been hard for conventional people to understand me. Seeing her be unapologetically herself week after week, really helped me to start accepting myself, and not hiding my personality away, simple because people though I was weird

I think she’s the best Not Ready for Prime Time Player since Gilda Radner, my favorite of the Orignal NRFPTPs - and that says a lot, because the entire original cast was amazing, plus there were so many other greats, Eddie Murphy, Chris Farley, Phil Hartman, just to name a few.

The sketch was also pretty clearly designed as a send-off, so it tracks that that amount of thought would go into key lines. But agree to disagree:)

Kate and Aidy. I feel like they stayed this season to transition some of the new class. I’m gonna miss these guys a lot.

Well there was that one time last season on Weekend Update when she was Dr. Wenodis (pronounced like "we know this") talking about vaccines and Covid precautions, where she just completely broke. Colin Jost finally addressed her out of character saying "Kate, are you all right?", and she said "obviously not".

What a great ending to her run. Even that last line in the room-“I always felt kinda like an alien on this planet anyway”-has a tone of bittersweetness. A lot of people turn to comedy because they feel out of place in the world, but Kate McKinnon found where she belonged, and she inspired lots of other people who feel the same way. Thank you for the laughter, Ms. McKinnon. :)

She seemed verklempt at the end. Definitely the best SNL character in years. To the extent other characters had trouble keeping a straight face for some of them, she committed so much to them.

When a comedian has ascended to such a level that she NEVER breaks and ALWAYS controls the crowd with absolute precision, she’s gotten everything out of SNL that an entertainer could. I’m so glad for Kate!!

I'm Sarah in Project Bluebook at the USAF and I am laughing so hard about the character Mrs. Rafferty! Please do not stop writing shows on the Greys it makes me laugh so hard! Thank you!

You can see in her eyes from the start that she’d been crying beforehand. Probably from the dress rehearsal. And in total Pro fashion she delivered a perfect performance anyway.

I actually teared up at the end. i'm gonna miss kate sm, she was definitely one of snl's best and it won't be the same without her

When I saw that "final" I was thinking "is Kate leaving??" It want be the same without her.

The consummate professional! So incredibly talented. Such timing and control. I can't believe she made it through the skit without laughing and then without completely losing it in tears at the end. Kudos to all involved for the PERFECT send off. Probably the best send off of any character on any show, ever! Kate, in my opinion, you made the show for 10 years. You were the star and the anchor of the show. You'll be greatly missed! I don't know how SNL will ever fill your spot. I trust that your future will be happy and abundant. Much love!

The level of comedic genius in the similes and metaphors that Kate constantly fires off in these "Abducted" skits is amazing.

You know Kate McKinnon is just truly incredible comedian. Once she knows everyone else, including herself, are trying to stop from laughing, she goes right for the jugular!

Wait I just came here looking for my favorite Kate McKinnon alien skits and did NOT expect this ending. I love this character so much

That small smile and tear in her eye got me all emotional. What a legend. Amazing send-off. All the best to her future! Hope us Earthers can see ya again soon!!! ✨

She is absolutely a legend - I have watched four decades of SNL and Kate McKinnon has been my absolute favorite comic - hands down. She expanded what was possible for a female comedian to do taking on male and female roles alike. She is a comic genius and I wish her all the very best. Will miss her tremendously. Hopefully she will come back and be a repeat host.

So sad to lose Aidy, Kate, Pete and Kyle. Aidy is just the funniest. She’s the one you wanna be besties with. Kate’s comedy is on a whole extra level. She is my forever girl crush. Love Pete and Kyle too.

Andy and Kate are literally the 2 people that got me into SNL. I'M going to miss them 😭

Definitely one of the best performers period in the history of the show. I wish her the best with her career and life.

There are some SNL performers who can never be forgotten. I’ve been a fan from the beginning. Dan Ackroyd, John Belushi, Gilda Radnor, and now Kate!

I didn’t even know it was Kate’s last episode but I could tell how she entered the alien ship and took that deep breath. Dang, she was one of my favorites!

Hands down the best series skit she’s done. I don’t think anyone that’s ever participated in this sketch along with her ever lasted without at least slightly breaking. I’m gonna miss her - she was one of the greats, easily among the SNL alum elite.

@Rachel Hall - And the night she accompanied herself on piano to "Hallelujah" after Secretary Rodham-Clinton lost the election to the king of ashes! Soulful and moving.

I know he hasn't handled everyone leaving with grace in the past.. but Lorne really showed some class and love by giving all 4 of them the send off they deserved. Good luck to all of them, I'm sure none of them will need it, but either way, can't wait to see what they accomplish!

Search KZread for. SNL Mrs. Rafferty. There should be five already out, maybe even a sixth (hosts: Ryan Gosling, Liev Schreiber, and Brie Larson I know had Rafferty episodes.) Everyone is just better than the last. I watch them on tough or stressful days. Good luck!!

It's that subtle crack in her voice and somberness in which she's says "Live from New York...it's Saturday 7:13 night🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️" We all knew it was over😢

Kate is an incredible actress. These sketches aren’t even my style of humor and I’m always watching them just to see her perform

I loved the skit and I wish Kate McKinnon the best of luck. She will be missed.

Kate has a sense of comedic timing that is a gift from god, she knew what was funny and exactly how to share that with her audience. She'll go down in SNL history as one of the all-time greats. The only saving grace to her departure is that she can come back anytime she wants! Thanks for all the laughs Kate!

What a great season finale episode. You could tell that Kate was holding back the tears before she said "live from new york...". It reminds me of my last day in high school. I was reading something out loud to my classmates. then the last four years of my life literally flashed before my eyes. I had to stop reading, chuckled a bit, then I excused myself. I didn't cry but I was feeling a certain way. Kate is definitely one of the greats. She will always stand out in my mind as being just as good as her predecessors. Natasha did like one of the best performances as a guest host. Kinda stole the show. KKW did ok for not being an actress but Natsha killed it. She needs to be in the 5th-time-as-a-guest-host-club.

The problem with this show and comedy in general is Men are being feminized. This show is all about woman and gays. So real men cant preform and are weak looking, coddling to girls here. Women generally are not funny and filled with to much emotion to be funny. So the ratings are bad because gays and fat girls are to emotional and cant get over personal struggles to be funny. The truth hurts like my big member.

I feel like Aidy was already emotional when the sketch started and honestly same. I basically grew up with Kate on SNL (I was 12 when Kate started). She's made me laugh and inspired me so many times throughout her time on the show. She's truly an amazing comedian, artist and woman. She truly carried SNL with her many characters the last 10 years and she'll be greatly missed on the show. Can't wait to see her future endeavours!
