You don’t know what you’re talking about! Those are all John Denver pictures through the years. I followed his career from the very beginning through all the stages, the different haircuts, the different outfits, the different glasses. Be sure your facts before you pop off and say this is Clickbait.
I loved him. I still do. When I hear his songs it takes me back to the days when I dated my first love. Bittersweet memories set to the the purest voice this side of heaven.
There will never be another John Denver who represented the magic of life with innocence, purity, and sweetness. All aspects of John's persona represent the very best of humanity, and I can almost feel his presence in every flower, blade of grass, and drop of rain. His life has profoundly impacted the world for generations to come. Never has a single human being been so loved on such a global scale, and the world will never be the same. When John passed, Heaven Itself paused, and every angel bowed. Planet Earth grieved, and the entire universe was in morning. Bobby

I'm an early years teacher, and a bit more. Some of us in my profession have a deep interest in schemas - the innate patterns in children's play and exploration that help them to learn. It's not a government mandated curriculum. It's a natural thing. It's been called 'the curriculum within the child'. It is likely to be life long - an enduring facet of personality. One of those patterns is 'trajectory'. It's to do with a fascination with paths of movement: vertical, horizontal, oblique. It can also apply to time: past, present, future. To space travel, deep sea exploration, a human life span, and so much more. I believe John had a very strong trajectory schema. Just listen to Rocky Mountain High, Starwood in Aspen,They Were Flying For Me, Calypso, Wild Montana Skies, Leaving on a Jet Plane, (his sometimes troubled relationship with his father, the manner of his death) and see what you think. I loved him dearly. I like to think he is one with his beloved rocky maintains now.
Loved his music ,,,great part of my life👍
What a legacy to leave of people singing and making memories..you're music is timeless and will always make us smile.

John Denver had a beautiful voice and a way with a song that was simple and related to the feelings of many people.
I never stopped loving John when he went 'out of style'. Society became more and more jaded until now it's almost seriously corrupt. John had too much heart and soul for what America became. He was as beautiful as his music.

He remained true to himself. That’s why we loved him. Listen to the songs he sang about Alaska! They were amazing.
John Denver's melody and lyrics resonate with a warm loving heart.
One of the worlds best singer songwriter, just admire his talent and music contribution. He cared for nature and the environment. A man ahead of his time. Sadly missed
Love John Denver, Miss him ❤️👍
I met him at the space center one time. I was in the gift shop, heard him singing outside. He was getting ready to perform for the astronauts when they came back. Just him me and my wife. He was real nice. I always liked him from way back. Sad he left us so soone.
Loved him and his voice was as strong in person as it was on records or radio.
R.I.P. John
Most singers lives lonely lives, always away from family because of their job as musician but their mind very creative never ending ideas and we too benefit from hearing their music. It is really inspiring.
RIP, brother John. You will always be here with us😢
One song that I loved that I don't see mentioned in the comments was, " For Bobbie". John Denver was a great entertainer and to me , his songs reflected so much love and compassion, regardless of what Charlie Rich and a few others thought of his music. In the end, it is evident that his popularity prevailed.😮
Rest in peace, old friend😢

after a concert in 1975 in the Omni....I was 19 and just learning to play guitar....i met John and thanked him for being a mentor to me. his band was there as was Kris O'Connor and a bunch of people back stage. He was gracious to me. I can not prove this meeting happened, but I am STILL a musician and i miss JD. he reached alot of people. I went to Ukraine (before the war) and played Country Roads for some school children in Odessa...an experience I will NEVER forget. Long live John Denver.

Those days were much better than these days, in my opinion.

I grew up listening to John, “Sunshine on my Shoulders” was always playing on the radio in the late 70’s, l memorised all his songs and his was the first album l ever bought, l still have it today. Great voice, great guitar player. My BFF and I went to see him around 1988 or 1989 when he was in the St Pete area. It was a great venue, not crowded. He refused to sing "Annie's Song". This is a despicable act by this youtuber to intentionally doctor the picture ( computer graphics ) making John Denver look old and unpleasant but he was looking young , youthful and vibrant as always and at 53 too and we would like to remember him looking like this for eternity. The video is unkind and very cruel and quite devoid of many other facts about the legend, John Denver ! Reply

John died in a LongEZ. I built a LongEZ. I totally understand how fumbling with the misplaced fuel valve, behind your shoulder, could lead to loss of control. That is not how Burt Rutan designed it.

He'd still be here if he and Annie had reconciled. I think after the divorce he spent his remaining years trying to fill the emptiness that was left by Annie. Annie complained that he was always gone, but also refused to be on the road with him. Marriage is about compromise. He never seemed happy after Annie and he split.

I stil love him so much. He became so-called outdated when the world became more corrupt. What a sad commentary and what a beautiful soul he was.
Keep flying, JD . . .
Badass
John Martin Sommers wrote “Thank God I’m a Country Boy”? Fuel didn’t drain, fuel was low to start with, fuel switch was at the back of the cockpit to make the fuel system external for safety…not enough fuel to start, unfamiliarity with switch location, low altitude…😢

I Would you like to say I was married to John Denver's cousin in 1979 I had always been a fan of his and instead of his music I said front row center with my wife at John's last public performance at will Roger's auditorium in Fort Worth Texas I have the last guitar pitch you played with there And no he never looked like that Gray-haired photoh that someone had put up I have been personal friends with John From 1980 on Because of family reunions and us playing guitars together In my opinion John was the greatest Vocals ever Also I believe he was the best acoustic guitar player in the world Strictly my opinion of course But I love the man like you is my brother cause he treated me like We were brothers we spent a lot of time together and I'm from Fort Worth Texas But John never looked like that gray-headed photo We had a talk that night after that show And in leaving we hugged he said I'll see you next time Clint That was 11 days before he died I believe it John Was right where he was supposed to be yes he had DW I's And I smoked marijuana with him in 1980 But he was a normal human living the life that spelled out for him And John was 4 days flying that plane he died in from getting his pilot license back From his DWI He always sent us a card saying he was coming to town We would have breakfast together at Paris coffee shop which was owned by a high school friend But I believe he was most talented And live the life He enjoyed We both shared a lot of common things like Bing members of Alcoholics Anonymous Some people think this is too much information but it's in his book And John was not afraid to share with me My God bless John Denver And his family And if you had gotten as close to him as I did You would know the true man and how you felt in his heart He was a giver who believed in God I am 63 years old we were 18 years apart when we first met I hope they have guitars in heaven cause I know soon I'll get to see my friend again
How sad he must HAVE felt, on that fateful day. I believe he had nobody to care about him.....yet he gave his wives and his family every thing they needed to live a very comfortable life. One must understand, a Musician, " Works " on the Road to gain the freedom for their music. ITS calls "Work" because this is their day & NIGHT Job! Musicians wives, must understand that the people in their circle , are Family, while Touring, & bringing home money to support their family. I just do not begin to understand why , " wives & fiancee ' do not relate to this aspect of the " JOB, , WORK, OR EARNING A LIVING!!! The facts surrounding the accident clearly show he was at fault. First, his flying privileges had been revoked due to his DUIs. Second, the aircraft's air worthiness was in doubt because of the fuel tank installation and he was aware of that information. His decision to fly is a problem that many successful people have. They believe that their personal success overrides basic safety considerations. It's called arrogance. I've flown numerous aircraft, from single engine general aviation to high performance jet transports and in doing so have met a variety of pilots. A handful had attitudes like Denver. I avoided any association with those types. I was fortunate to have a basic instructor who believed every flight was serious business.
