having these Qualifiers at neutral venues , would have been more interesting , maybe have them in the country of the Olympics because the hosts are already qualified - maybe at Lyon or some place? with the home crowd , this was too easy fro Greece. also , there should be at least 2 days rest between games , i don't even know why they rush these Qualifiers into a couple of days

Imagine if the Greek team bonds even further and improves its shooting in the next three weeks. Their defence will be a problem to every single team, including the US. Spanoulis possibly the coach who knows the game from inside better than any coach at the Olympics and that will be a factor I think. I won’t be shocked if Greece wins a medal

@@Marijan-kk2cw Nah, even with Sloukas + Papapetrou there are teams that are just better/deeper than us. Definitely USA, Serbia, Germany and Canada. France and Australia are also most likely superior (definitely roster-wise). And you can never count out Spain ofc. We are about equals atm! And then you also got possible dark horses like Puerto Rico, who might surprise many. Medal is out of the question, if we're being realistic. We will definitely lose to Canada and probably to Australia as well (we got a shot against Australia, if we catch them in a shooting off-night) and then it's 50-50 against Spain. I will be super delighted with a QF appearance! Anything more would constitute a miracle! Either way, thanks bro!

Germany with Schroeder, Wagner bros, Theis and backups like Lo, Bonga, Thiemann, Babb, Olinde, Voigtmann is not superior, huh? Or Canada with 10 NBAers (would be 11, but GSW didn't let Wiggins play). Just tell me you know nothing without actually telling me, bruh!

🇬🇷This team looks different from the one we had in the Euro. Giannis at last looks well integrated in the team as a member, not as an nba star with nobody supporting him, and that's coach's work. Spanoulis is a living legend and i guess he will present a proper competing, hard working team in Paris. We need new talends like Toliopoulos. Calathes looks reincarnated. Papayiannis looks regenerated. Everyone looks perfectly fit. With a bit of lack and hard work they can hit a medal if there is no USA in their way. 🇬🇷

Congrats from Croatia. Greece has more depth, your playmaker had insane passes and that big guy was hitting threes in the first half like Steph Curry. We also let Giannis shoot from the midrange wide-open thinking he would miss, but he actually did well. We missed a couple of open shots in the second half, had a technical foul, a couple of bad turnovers, and there you go. But I don't think it is fair, this is the second time in this tournament where we had to play two games in two days.

Yes byt is very clear by now that the two leagues have progressed un different directions and in some ways have different types of the game now. In 1980s and up to mid 1990s NBA was closer to how game is played in Europe.

I think FIBA needs to change number of teams which can qualify for OG simply this current system leaving so many good countries out of the OG. Simply has no logic that Slovenia , Italy, Croatia are not there for example. Maybe other continents are still not on top level of basketball but we need more good teams at OG as participants.
