Final Clean out of a jam packed home! And some last minute surprises
Ойын-сауық
After weeks of hoard work we finally have this place empty! A truck load of goods to support the homeless in our home town, some treasures to cover the expense... and closure as we finish another clear out.

You're so kind toward your mom and wife so nice to see. The other thing I appreciate is the pride of work you have in completing the job.

I love that you're donating to actual charity, not corporate entities disguised as such. Kudos, and thank you for your thoughtfulness
I had the hard chore of emptying out a house of an old friend that was in his final days and found it so hard to donate and sell the life of this friend. I admire your approach to honor the owner as much as possible.

@annvanwesten2488 - Way back when, before I first assisted in organizing and holding estate sales, I had the mindset of “this is what’s left of this man’s entire life. It’s so sad that we are cleaning, organizing and selling his life.” As the years passed and with many estate sales under my belt, I realized that I had the wrong mindset. The person who passed away had all these items during his lifetime. They meant something to him and he enjoyed them during his lifetime. They meant nothing to his heirs, and he couldn’t take them with him. All of those items could have been tossed in a dumpster and not loved and enjoyed by anyone else. The deceased would be pleased to know that the items sold at the estate sale are loved by their new owners. The items that don’t sell at the estate sale are donated to the charity of the family’s choice.

@@kristineguetschow9134 Thank you so much for your words. I have struggled with this for almost a year. I know many of the things that were bought were used to help others in need. Thanks again.
Your character is really shining through! The world could use more people like you and your family.
Not sure what this man's end of life was,but it looks like he led a pretty good one when he lived. Many great things done and purchased.

Alex mentioned medical issues, might have been cancer.
I think what's going to really differentiate your new streaming show from all the similar themed ones is your compassion. Caring about the lives of the people who have passed on, caring about their families, friends and neighbors who knew them, recycling and donating, even before any money is made on selling. You and your family have big hearts.

They have it all, just a great family all around. I love that they look after each other so well and mutually. This is the recipe for success!
One of the things I admire most about you and Melissa is you put other peoples feelings and considerations ahead of your convenience. Making sure this woman was well taken care of was so kind and I have no doubt that’s why you guys are so successful. You deserve every bit of success you have for the kind people you are.
I very much appreciate all the work you do to keep things out of the landfill, all you recycle, all you donate to various charities, but most of all how much you've donated to the displaced Ukranian refugees. You guys are examples of how people should take care of other humans. Keep up the fine work! Much love from Texas!❤
I always enjoy watching the clean outs that Melissa and you do. Normally they leave me feeling somewhat sad for the people who died while you go thru their things. Seems so often like lives not fulfilled. Sometimes even a bit lonely. This clean not at all! This clean out has left me feeling smiling. This man has had such a full, amazing and awesome life that most of us can only dream about. The places he's been and things he's done are wonderful. He's lived his life to the fullest. Good for him. We should take him as an example. 💗
Alex, you and Melissa are such quality people, your generosity to your fellow man is so heart warming and you are showing your children how to be good humans.
Melissa is like the perfect partner. Hard working, loving, and good mother.

You folks are the consummate visage of what compassion is and generates through practice to idealize the ultimate act of helping one's fellow man! Not a thought, just a natural action and reaction. God Bless!
I hope that you, and all the people living in your area, stay safe from the fire.

He isn't red yet. I'm in the next province over, in BC, and last year when fires hit, a huge one got close so my daughter's home (she was on alert to evac so they had basically emptied out the house and up to the next road over was evac'd) that everything was red. She sent me pics taken in the middle of the day and everything, literally, everything was vivid red: houses, lawn, road, air etc..was deep red. It was scary.

@@hilaryc3203 I'm Australian it's when it's black that's the scariest here and hot embers are dropping from the sky. Not to mention fire tornadoes 100s metres high and atomic bomb size clouds of smoke. Pyrocumulus cloud from bushfires creates it's own weather with lightening strikes. Not fun at all. Particularly when viewed from your front door. It happened day after day in 2019 for us.
Alex, take a good look at the closing of this segment. Look at the way Melissa is looking at you. Love, respect and pride. It doesn't get any better than that. Fortune has shined upon you. Cherish it!
What a difference the guys from the charity made, you have done so much work. Thanks for sharing the adventure with us.
You and your family are just awesome with the way you all work together on these clear outs. I know you do the majority of the work. I love the fact that you actually donate so much of the furniture and clothing. You are an incredibly kind person.
I hope the gentleman is off to his greatest journey With wonders and adventures he couldn't imagine ! A life well lived are just some of the gifts he left behind Farewell and may your blessings follow you home .
The guy that lived here seemed like he was a cool guy, rest in peace.
your videos have made me more aware i need to get all my ducks in a row so when my time comes my passing doesn't become a burden on my friends and family...thank you
The donations to charity and others in need makes your channel stand out. ❤
All done with respect for the gentleman that lived there and consideration to the lady that inherited the property. A looooooot of work but once again with the help of your family you did it. Congratulations 🥂
I do appreciate that you recycle and donate as much as you can. You're good people!!!!
Your family is so generous when it comes to giving things to people that really need them like giving to charity. You are also very gentle with other people's stuff when you're cleaning a house out I'll respect of the former owner. Unified very loving and caring family and they're always willing to help. I love all your family and friends and really enjoy your videos❤❤❤.
I pray for rain for everyone that needs it in their area Prayers sent..💦🙏
Alex, you and your family are simply the best! You going above and beyond to help the woman with the cleaning of the condo…bravo to all of you!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Alex, you are the definition of a cheerful giver! Your generosity and spirit of lending freely is an example to us all.
Love the respect that you give to the person that has passed and their family and friends
I can think of no one kinder and more respectful to handle people's belongings at the end of their lives. And as well as helping you and your family you make sure to help your community. Always a treat to watch your videos.
Your compassion and generosity are truly unmeasurable. 💙
Alex , you and your family are so caring and respectful ; it's wonderful to witness it . Take care , be safe and continue to prosper . I love your channel .
You and all your help, did an amazing job! 💓💝💘❤💖watching your videos, thank you for sharing and have a great night!
“There is a certain weight of being the person, who is the emptier of a property but we do what we can” Man you nailed it. Great quote
Another great adventure completed. I can't wait for the next one to begin. The man that lived in that condo seemed to have lived an interesting and fulfilled life, kudos to him. 🤠👍
Lol, you could put the tortoise and bird bath on the Stairway to Mystery in your backyard. 😀
It looks like this man led an awesome full life full of adventure . i don't know how you do it but you seem to find the most interesting places with character . Glad you are finding some treasures and things you can use as well . this was a great clear out. You Mom is so sweet . Keep Safe ❤Keep Well❤
That’s a great charity, to get people started with furniture, fresh off the streets🥰You are well rounded, and I can’t believe no more stow😞
The kind way you treated this man's belongings was like a wonderful eulogy! He is remembered by so many now. I might sell the Jimmy Buffett Hawaiian shirt with the ticket. Wow, great things stuffed everywhere ...hope you checked under the coach cushions??? Great donations and very kind of you.
My husband loved wearing the Hockey jerseys. I still have many of ones he wore.
Oh it just occurred to me! That poor Man must have passed there and they cut out the carpet. But it sure seems he lives life to the fullest!

I like the kissing rabbits in balcony bin. They are very very cute.
That sounds like a good charity you picked for the furniture. It's important to pair up the type of item with the charity that needs it most.

Find is an awesome charity who give first pick of the items to people who need them the most for free before they sell anything to the public unlike other charities who sell the stuff to people who can afford them. I donated a lot of my parents stuff to Find because of how the do things.
You may have the strongest work ethic of anyone I have ever seen. And a most supportive and helpful family as well.
Ah , I’m sad it’s over. He sure had an interesting life. You guys are amazing.
The niblick golf club was for getting out of steep sided bunkers. My father had an identical one passed down from his father and which I used occasionally as a teenager in the 1960s . It was old then. Just brought back good memories.
Most charities I know of won't take beds anymore. I don't see why they won't take the frames and just supply new mattresses. That bed you have there is really nice! If all else fails, post it up for free. I'm glad you found a home for that bed.
May the memories of love outweigh the grief of loss. Thank you so much for your empathy.
Boy, what a job. Alex, you and your family did an awesome job. Keep the videos coming.
Your boys grew up since the last time I watched!! What a handsome crew you’ve got!
Concorde memorabilia sells really well, that looks like 70s Concorde so even rarer, good find.
I am totally i Pressed with how you care for others. World needs more people like you, your family and friends.
So happy for your new streaming show. I cannot wait.
The table your mom is working on is just like one I have. I had been told, maybe not true, that they are old tavern tables. I do love mine. You have such a lovely family and appreciation for them. I had to do the clean out from my parents lived in for fourty something years. Daunting for sure.
The clean outs are my favorite! But I would have ended up looking like a hoarder after doing this one, so many things i would have wanted to take home. Your respect for the former resident was so touching, I'm sure he was a lovely person. Thank you so much for that.
Couldn't help but think about this man the whole way through each episode. At a certain point I was moved to tears. He lived a life of abundance and that was quite evident by the amazing contents of his home. It saddens me though that the person who inherited his condo didn't want the contents as she didn't need any of it, I mean I understand that, but not even a memory of him of somekind apart from the Condo, whether it was the coin collection, a Jersey, the lamps, a painting..kinda like no not interested just want to sell the place and thankyou very much kinda thing. All I can truly say is you and your family dealt with his life with such compassion and respect it kept me strong whilst watching this. You did such a great job. 👍
I found this series both satisfying to watch you sort it all out and more sad than most. I don't even know why. I think because he'd not cleared up his last meal and because he had so many really nice things but it had become untidy. Also, the Christmas village was a bit gut wrenching. I hope he slipped away in his sleep and didn't realise. Thank you for all the hard work and the compassion.
I’m so glad I found your site, you and your family are so good to those you come in contact with! Many people talk big but you talk with your actions! Keep up the good work and your rewards in Heaven will be great!🙏
You guys are so sweet to take such good care of people’s house and belongings. Look forward to your show you will be doing.
If we could all live life as full as he did
2 things I love: the first is that your gorgeous Mum never puts her handbag down - so cute 🥰 and the second is that you help charity so much, they must appreciate you hugely. ❤❤

Smart! Because it would be too easy to set it down and lose it amongst all the stuff.
Guarantee all the carpeting will be immediately replaced by the new owner. And probably the stove and fridge as well with a full kitchen remodel. Heck, looking at the bathroom tiles, I'd bet the entire place gets redone. But thanks for the cleaning effort as that does make a better presentation. Best wishes for the bereaved.
The fires in Canada was on my Los Angeles news for several days I wasn't aware it was still going on. Everyone needs to united prayer for these fires to be diminished. Important question: my late husband Hank Stickney, owned the Las Vegas stars minor league baseball team. They were also called area 51. My husband hank also brought ice hockey to Las Vegas for over a decade. It was called Th . thunder. I would like to bid on the Las Vegas jersey if the back reads Stars .

Good job on donating all the things to help others .totally enjoyed this clean out.very interesting

Emptying mothers mother in law uncles aunts and my own home have had the priveledge to help both refugees previously homeless and those young things setting up home to purchase and give new life to treasured furniture and goods. Such a humbling priveledge. Condolences to the friend you have worked for. So value your high principles.
The hood was most likely a recirculating one, it runs the air through a filter and back into the room. This place looks big enough to turn it into a 3-bedroom taking away some of that giant lounge/dining space.

Those final walk throughs are always sad. All those items that were someone's life are now scattered and gone. Hopefully your series can keep that emotional touch that you do so naturally and so well.
That was very interesting series. Such a packed with stuff house. I have had a house almost as full till I moved last year and pared everything down especially the books. I had four average size bookshelves full of books. Cut down to one bookshelf and one storage box. Plus I'm a quilter and I have more fabric than books. So I can consider this series as a warning to not leave a mess for others when I move on.
