Seeing the OG ff warrior of light walk through at the end was so satisfying 😌

Most soulful FF since dissidia it was all worth it for those last 2 missions

Did they really use Frank Sinatra's 'My Way' for this?? makes sense since Chaos/Jack is Macheavelian.. so this is where he turned heel an heeld it up for the greater good? (FF1's happy ending)

this was so crazy for me. poor Garland man, he becomes darkness just to save the world.

Honest to god them just putting Frank Sinatra in the ending was not something i expected but it fucking worked

What an amazing game. I loved it.

I pretty much had zero knowledge of FF1 , after watching the intro....and then when I got to the tutorial part about soul bursting (red crystal explosions of the enemies) I got really suspicious that the evil knight from the cut scene and Jack has the same ability. After that my thoughts got put aside and distracted by the fun Nioh style game play. The time loop plot twist and stuff was a really good and satisfying surprise for me and made me remember my suspicions from the start I had forgotten about lol.

Honestly I could see them doing a ff1 remake in the future now

So the conclusion it's actually Garland from FF1 yeah I knew it, after I watch the first trailer a few month ago and when I saw the title, that what is called origin FF it is story origin of Garland as we known Jack. This is pre sequel of FF origin before FF1 and the Worrior of light will defeated Garland. However I am hoping that square Enix make a side game story of Worrior of Light and this is because fans doesn't know his real name. Fans only know his name is Worrior of light and hoping to see the next sequel of him, so the begining of FF1 might have some conclusion on how he got the name of Worrior of Light.

Never heard of Frank Sinatra but I heard Elvis sing this Song.

I knew what the endgame had in store before I even bought the game; I knew Jack was Garland and he was going to be Chaos (I mean, duh. Everyone knew) But I was not prepared for the emotional rollercoaster at the end of the game. Cornelia is completely overrun and Princess Sarah dying wasn't what I expected. Fighting your four allies was rough, made even worse when you kill them. After that, I was metaphorically broken; completely stunned and just continued on with the game. All the way to the final shot, with the Warriors of Light facing Jack. It was an experience that nearly rivaled FFXV's ending (the very same game that got me into the FF series in the first place). We all dunked on this game when the first trailer came out and honestly, I considered skipping it. And yet, it became an enjoyable and emotional experience. I would now love a remake of FF1 where the ending has Jack and his friends watching the Warriors of Light from Castle Cornelia, smiling as the Warriors go their separate ways, pleased at peace finally being restored and World A being free from the Lufenians.

The pre order advertisement for the Play Arts Kai of Jack Garland Chaos spoiled the ending for me but the last two hours of gameplay still caught me off guard.

Then... the bad guys from firts Final Fantasy.. are good guys... them are HEROES!!!

Just finished this game. God damn, that end was wonderful. I do hope they remake FF1 with this team now.

Well I can say that Frank Sinatra's My Way really fit the ending. It make sense coz Jack had to do what he did. He did it in his own way. The whole thing.

Played this and beat it on Hard difficulty and it was Awesome!! While the game was like Dark Souls I still had a lot of fun even though I raged a lot. The part where you had to fight your friends had an impact cause there were there since the beginning of the game. Also finding out that Sarah and Jack were lovers at one point was very surprising. This was a great game and absolutely love the ending. Probably won't play this again for awhile cause I'll probably play it on Chaos difficulty and rage some more.

It's more like nioh than dark souls

Three weeks later... Have you played FF1 yet? If so which variation (I always recommend the PSX FF Origins version since it is most loyal to the NES version.) Out of context of Stranger of Paradise its a general DnD inspired fantasy adventure. In context of SoP you get that feeling that you have to destroy the good guys who took on the roles of the villains to save the world. But now, how does all of this tie into the Dissidia series?

I'll find the complete puzzle to be complete once FF1 has been remade to fit with this game. Only then it will call be complete.

Last boss was a bitch on the hardest difficulty

So that intro was the ending. He killed the real heroes and took the princess. Neat! A happy ending for the evil victim!

I was debating on this game, I wanted it sooo bad at first cuz I love ff I only played like 2-3 games tho but people were talking about this game like how it’s like dark souls or Nioh in a way and how the story is eh and not fully about the first ff. Is it actually worth it? Cuz I rly want this game

I enjoyed my time! However it is quite short and the story is pretty silly, if ur on the fence then maybe wait for it to go on sale for $20-30? Anything more than that might not be worth it, especially if you’ve only played 2-3 FF games

@@hammygaming8278 basically theres an ultra advanced race that sends agents called "strangers" to balance the chaos and every time theyre sent down their memories are wiped. If the strangers ever fail to clear the chaos the ultra advanced race just keeps resetting the world. Jack and co think theyre warriors of light but they really never clear the chaos just reset the balance. Long story short, Jack basically comes up with a plan to take all the chaos into himself and kill the ultra advanced aliens but then he has an epiphany that he can use his powers to setup the world to make true warriors of light thatll outright destroy the chaos and not just rebalance it and not rely on them aliens. His old party becomes the Four Fiends pull him back through time 2000 years in the past so aliens dont interfere with his plan and he takes up his rightful name as Garland. The last cutscene is the warriors of light coming in to beat the shit out of him and purge chaos from the world.

Spoiler (i have some question, i hope someone can answer me) i endend and i had some doubt is this canon? at this point i wonder if they recon Garland and the four Fiends? they become evil for real or simply the arrive of the True Warriors of Light was simply the plan were Good All Along? at this point the human Garland that the True Warriors of Light fight as first boss in FF1 where come from? the Lufenians help the True Warriors of Light against Garland and the four fiends, but if he remind correctly they aren't evil in FF1 or simply they not tell to the True Warriors of Lights the reason that they help them? the ending where the True Warriors of Light enter is before the final boss or before the first boss fight against Garland? how and when exactly Neon join to the Strangers? she is from Cornelia, so she not "reset" like the others... but the fact that she become Garland as first boss, meens that she already fight with the rest of party in an other cycle. are Jack, Jed, Ash and Sophia the only Strangers? so the ghosts that they saw was theyself or other Strangers before them? the Fiends that you fight are always the party member or was other Strangers? Chaos is a energy right? not a physical things? the demonic form that Garland reach was simply his personal form, if someone reach the same power of Garland, probably he/she become an other things right?

I think I can try to help you although this may be a shot to answer everything you asked. Spoilers ahead for those that haven't played/beaten/watched. 1) Is this canon? -Yes, I do believe this is canon since this is the prequel to FF1- its the set up and explains Jacks origins, how he becomes Garland/Chaos, whom the fiends truly area, and ultimately who really is the "big bad" of the story. 2) Will they retcon them?" Possibly. The way the ending of this game vs the FF1 game are similar but to not match up and it may be possible plot hole and or perhaps something that will be explained in the future DLC. In the SOR game, Jack ultimately becomes chaos, the world is reset by the luferians and they cut their connection with Cornelia, and is sucked back in time 2000 years where he takes the mantle of the temple of fiends. There he meets his 4 friends whom end up becoming the very fiends Jack and his friends fought. In FF1, towards the end of the game the fiends sent garland 2000 years in the past, and chaos had sent the fiends into the future, creating a time-loop. The WOL end up going back in time and clashing with Chaos, return back to their own time where peace is restored- the time loop destroyed and chaos defeated. The two endings line up but some things do not match up so I am sure they may do something in the 3rd DLC that is slated to be made for SOR 3)Do they become evil? Yes and no. Jack embraces the darkness and doing so made the choice to become Chaos. His 4 friends whom become the fiends also follow suit in Jacks orders and also become evil. They have to take this position in order to produce the true WOL prophecy to appear. All of them become evil, as a means destroy lufernia. Once again, Jack and the others had to go against their destiny of being pawns and truly see who the real bad people are, which is the Lufernians because they use Cornelia as a dumping grounds for their darkness. Truly shades of grey with no real "black vs white". The intention of the plan is good in theory, but it brings about suffering and dispair. A means to a end, sort of thing. 4) "Does the true WOL fight Garland as first boss in FF1?" I basically had to re-type your question- but yes. the true WOL fight Garland as the first boss, which then sets up everything that happens in FF1. 5) The ending where the true WOL enter is before the final boss or before the first boss?" - The true WOL fight Garland in the beginning due to him stealing princess Sarah. He is killed, but then garlands body is warped 2000 years in the past by the fiends. The Final boss of FF1 is Chaos. 6)how and when exactly Neon join to the Strangers? - Neon was a human being born from Cornelia and was given a dark crystal by Astos as a means of a plan to set up to defeat the Lufernians. 10 years before Jack, Ash, and Jed come to Cornelia and are sent to the temple of the fiends- Neon went out of her way to become a physical embodiment of Chaos and transformed herself into a Garland looking Chaos monster. Jack and the boys defeated her Chaos form, and amidst her explaining of why she became a form of Chaos, she says that Chaos must not be a real entity. Jack doesnt believe it and goes forward with his mission, while Neon decided to join the party due to being intrigued. 7)are Jack, Jed, Ash and Sophia the only Strangers?- From what I understand that seems to be the case, but its possible others could of been. 8) the Fiends that you fight are always the party member or was other Strangers?- Best way to answer this is "yes and no". Yes. the fiends they face in the game are infact truly themselves in fiend form. At least this is what my understanding is. The idea of time loops and time travel can always be difficult to answer these kinds of questions. 9)Chaos is a energy right?- Yes, Chaos is darkness mixed with human emotion. Once a collection of said energies takes over an individual, it consumes them and leads them to the path of "becoming Chaos itself". When Jack fights the ultimate final boss, that is "darkness manifest" which technically is infact Chaos, but under a different name.

thanks for your answer but i still doubt about human Garland, the first boss of ff1, he kidnapped Sarah then go in the past after he defeated by the true warriors of light, but before of that he was a Cornelia's Knight, but if the cycle start when Jack devasted Lufenia, where he come from? he born in Cornelia or not?

This game is the pure definition of so bad it's amazing. At the least the story is, gameplay is actually decent.
